Roberts is just a better player than Forrest probably ever will be, as I can't see Forrest improving much more than he already has

When Forrest was out injured people were saying how we missed him. Paddy is some player but he, understandably, blows hot and cold. A superb cameo against a tiring Albion Rovers doesn't change that.

Pearls of wisdom there. Based on nothing but hearsay. Forrest has much more energy than Roberts for a start. Much more experience. Can put a shift in defensively if required. I've yet to see Roberts perform consistently for 90 minutes since he's been here. That can be worked on but Forrest deserves his place ahead of him due to his own merits and effort.
Hope we can keep Roberts as he will only improve which will drive Forrest on and this is great for the team.
Not for one second do I believe Rodgers would pick a player ahead of another due to only his status at the team.

He changed the game against the Huns and his performance against city away was better than anything Forrest has done in Europe this season. He's looked more dangerous than Forrest when he was subbed on for him most games too

If Roberts was here permanently he'd be starting much more than he has been this season, this much is true.

And on every occasion left us horrendously exposed at the back, whereas Forrest didn't. Think it was the home game against BMG that Forrest made the most tackles out of anyone in the team.

Defending as a team in Europe is essential, something that Forrest has taken on in a major way this year. It's the reason he has started ahead of Roberts this season for the most part. When Forrest was injured we majorly missed him.

Looks like Paddy's finally getting back to where he was at the start of the season before his injury though, right now I think he's won that place back off of Forrest but lets not ignore the reasons Forrest was there in the first place.

He definitely has more ability than Forrest, it's just a matter of consistency. Should be his place to lose now though.

Came on against the huns and played a huge part in the winner, then came on today and made 2 goals.

Would love if we got Roberts on a permanent deal. Seems to really like it here. Gets on well with the fans and players (especially Tierney). Had a part of play in two goals when he came on today and also when he came on as a sub against the huns he did well and played a part in a goal.

Forrest had a great run of form and deserved to have a run of games, but I believe that Roberts is a better player on form than Forrest is. Last few cameos Roberts has had changed the games in our favour and I also belive, as you do, that it's his turn to start now.

We don't really need Forrest's cover on the right as much now, due to the fact that we're out of Europe. Roberts flair could probably aid us more in the league imo, attack should be our defense

I agree but it's up to Roberts to seize the chance if he's given it, he certainly didn't when Forrest was out with an injury.

I trust in Rodgers to play whoever he sees fit better than my own judgement, if he thinks that Forrest should continue to start I'll have full faith in him, but I do also belive he'll give Roberts a shot at the starting 11 after today

    This.

He deserves a spell in the team. I love the wee * but so maybe I'm bias.

I've no complaints with Brendan's starting line up, I was just getting a little frustrated as it was obvious Roberts class would destroy that defence and Forrest and Gamboa weren't getting much success.

But * do I know, Brendan remained calm and we won 3 0 :56:

I think he took Forrest off because of the pitch as Gamboa would seem the normal choice. Maybe he left it late for Roberts to protect his legs on that surface.

I don't think Brendan would drop Roberts in the Cup because he's away in the summer. The Cup is too important for messing about. Maybe league games as we'll need to be prepared when he leaves as it is such a dramatic difference he can make.
