I would see if PSG will loan him for another year to us tbh he is only 19 and it’s his first time out of France.

That would suit us but it would * up the deal we have in place.

Unless we agreed an extension to that agreement.

Think calling Griffith's a 'good squad player' is underrating him a bit. If he gets back to the form, he is more than good enough to lead the line the rest of the season..

    Very good squad player then.

As long as Rodgers is here Griffiths will
never be our number 1 striker. He gives you goals (albeit he’s not been doing it much the last few months), but when he isn’t scoring (again, like the last few momths) he doesn’t offer a whole lot.

While I agree that he's been relatively poor the last few months and he was rightly dropped because of that, to say he only offers goals when on top form, is nonsense. His performances against Astana and Anderlecht, show he can link up the play quite readily. Has a underrated creative side to his game also, 8 to 9 assists this season if I'm not mistaken...

His link up and hold up play has improved under Rodgers but it's not up there with Dembele. It's not Griffs fault that he's a wee guy but because of Dembele's height and strength he offers more to the team.

8 or 9 assists sounds good but you can't just throw out a stat like that to back up your claim that he is creative. Ralston got an assist earlier in the season for Tierney's wonder strike from about 35 yards out. All he did was make a 20 yard square pass.

Ok look at the Astana game as an example. 3 assists, two of them pinpoint balls through to Sinclair and Forrest.

    Uck come on.:56:

They were well timed 5 yard passes, hardly threading the eye of a needle!

Anyway, this isn't my point. He'll score goals when he's on form but he doesn't have the physical presence to go with it, whereas Dembele does. And that's huge for us in Europe, particularly.

Think Griffiths is deserving a little more praise than @Dear Hunter may be giving him, but throwing the 9 assist stat out there, then telling us 3 of them was way back in a single qualifier isn't really helping that argument dude.

He has all the physical attributes, quite good technically as well but never worth 7M at this stage but then all transfers are totally inflated at the moment.

Will be down to Rodgers, the boy is obviously knocking his pan in to keep getting chances.

Hopefully we could haggle a bit on the price, get him cheaper with a buy back sort of thing like Barca used to do with their youngsters maybe?

Will be a beast of a striker in a few years time and, as you say, he’s obviously bursting his baws to get his chance.

Didn't get involved enough in the first half but played a lot better second half and could or should have had another goal. Think he would work better with Rogic/Roberts as he seems to like close link up play and then spin in behind. Rogic and Roberts always look for that pass in behind the defence.

Would have been interesting to see how Lawwell would have wormed his way out the fee if he'd had a cracking season.

    Inconsistent.

Think some are being overly harsh. His attitude is good and shows flashes much like any young player.
