2 different styles of Rb so it's all good as long as we play them in the tight way. Happy so far

Horses for courses. Lenny right to play him yesterday but would rather play ElHam in Euro game mid week.

Mortiz Bauer says both he and Ryan Christie were robbed of spot-kicks by referee Kevin Clancy as Celtic lost their 100 per cent record in the Premiership.

The Austrian defender and his colleagues left Easter Road aggrieved following their 1-1 draw with Hibs after two big penalty appeals were waved away by the whistler.

As the champions chased a winner in the second period, Christie was decked by Lewis Stevenson in the act of crossing the ball.

Bauer was the victim of a similar situation when he was clattered by home sub Daryl Horgan and boss Neil Lennon felt each one of the challenges merited a “clear” penalty kick for his team.

Clancy said no both times and Bauer said: “I thought already before there was a situation with Ryan where I expected to hear the whistle.

“For me, he could give mine as well. He [Horgan] doesn’t touch the ball and is only going for the man.

“He made it very difficult for me to put a good cross inside and small details like that were not in our fortune.”

Christie was also adamant he’d been sinned against and said: “I’ve seen it back and it is a stonewall penalty.

It is frustrating because, at that point, we were very much on top in the match.

“It is probably because I got a cross away that the referee didn’t give it. They seem to just try to play on but, for me, it is a definite penalty and I think that everyone can see that.

Moritz’s penalty claim was very similar. It reminded me that we got one against us at Pittodrie last season when Emilio Izaguirre slid in on Niall McGinn.

“I can tell you for sure that it would be given as a free-kick if it was outside the box.

“All it comes down to is that it is a late foul and it is doesn’t matter whether it is inside or outside the box.

"What happens afterwards is a penalty. It is frustrating not to get either of them.”

Bauer, however, reckons Celtic could have taken the talk of discussions away with a more-ruthless edge in Leith.

Speaking to Celtic TV, he said: “We can improve our game a bit more as well and be clinical to score more goals to wipe these kind of discussions out of the way.

“We wanted to keep our record and went there to win. We didn’t win there for a long time and we wanted to change that and we had some chances to do so.

“It’s not a bad point, but we wanted to have three.

“Hibs looked dangerous plenty of times and are not a bad team. They have quality up front and we had to be aware of that.

“It made it difficult because we gave their crowd a lift and had to chase the game, but we showed character again to come back in, although unfortunately we didn’t manage to score a second goal.”

Bauer played the 90 minutes having managed to overcome an ankle injury which kept him out of the previous game against Partick Thistle in the Betfred Cup.

The defender was delighted to return, even though more ankle issues make him a doubt for Thursday’s Europe League encounter with CFR Cluj.

Bauer said: “It was nice to be in the line-up as in the lead up I had a little problem with my ankle. But I would have been more pleased had we won the three points and I had not played.”

like him, i think when he settles down he wont need to force things like i think he was doing a bit yesterday

whips in a cracking cross seems to have good speed and gets up and down the flank well

from what weve seen already albeit elhamed has had more games he looks more solid and less of a traditional celtic full back which would be suited i think to the european games certainly the away ones i think

i think he'll settle down into being an excellent player for us though

we play what over 60 games a season so 30 each, im so impressed for the first time in a long time we seem to have strength and depth all over the park for this season

I like him, but I'd like him more if he wore boots that stopped him slipping.

Our players are ridiculous for that.

More pronounced when they get one or both legs clattered away.

He was slipping in the 2nd half.

People were going on how bad a decision that slip was, it was defo a slip, I thought at first there was contact, but Sport scene showed it last night and there was defo no contact. But the guy, Middleton? Still had to do quite a bit in his lonesome to make it that bad a decision.

But he was slipping and sliding all day. Forrest can be bad for that too, think its those * blades they wear.

Yeah, don’t think football players have wore blades for about 20 year.

    Should be 3rd choice.

Dependable but not exceptional. Takes the safe option far too often.

Not really seen much from him. Definitely third choice.
