    Very true but it’s been mostly through injury, winter break could make them.

    Wouldn't be against him playing in the number 10 role, his passing and vision is as good as we've got. Sometimes lose his attacking influence out wide having to track back.

    He’s also not that quick out wide so I see him being a number 10 eventually, anyway.

    I still maintain if he never came off against City last year we would have won that game instead of drawing. Lost any sort of threat when he went off.

    He’s capable of it. Not shown that this season though.

    Rodgers, meanwhile, has revealed Patrick Roberts will NOT be rushed back to action.

    The winger has returned to training as he battles back from a lay-off due to a hamstring injury.

    But Rodgers warned: “Pat’s timeline was the end of February. We were told three months.

    “He’s here in Dubai and doing straight line running but February remains the aim. If it’s earlier than that, then great.

    Just watching the invincibles dvd I got for my Christmas for the first time, * me he’s some player. Granted he wasn’t at his best early doors but how many of our players have been this season ? Forrest has been superb but I can’t wait to see Paddy back.

    Sure hope your right. We have a lot of big games between now and then starting right off the bat with the next 2 that he will be badly missed in.
    To touch on a couple of other posts above. The one good thing about all the injury issues Roberts has had this year and the limited impact he has made for us so far this season as a result is that maybe that might indeed make Manchester City more liable to sell him to us permanently in the summer. Come the end of this season though he will still have 2 seasons left on his contract with Manchester City so even if Manchester City are willing to sell him we likely will have to pay at least 5m maybe even more if they want to play hard ball on the price.
