Going to see Celtic without Paddy is like how middle aged women feel going to see Take That without Robbie, aye it's still great and you still love them, but you miss the entertainer, Paddy is our entertainer (note similar to going but without the pink glittery Stetsons and the vague hope your gonna get pumped off Jason Orange)

Badly missing the creativity of Rogic and Roberts. It was never so evident than against sevco, we ran out ideas and had no one to play a killer ball of create something out of nothing. These two fit and on form would make a massive difference to Celtic at the moment.

PATRICK Roberts is continuing on his road to recovery from injury, having been out of action since the end of November when he was forced to come off early in the game against Motherwell at Fir Park.

However, having been working hard in the gym over the past few weeks, the 21-year-old is now out in Dubai with his Celtic team-mates as part of their winter training camp and he’s looking forward to when he can return to action and play his part in the Hoops’ bid for more silverware this season.

Speaking exclusively to Celtic TV in Dubai, Roberts explained that he and the rest of Brendan Rodgers’ squad believe the training camp will prove just as beneficial for this campaign as it was in the Invincible treble-winning season.

“It’s been good to be outside running,” he said.”That was the main objective for me – to get back running while I was out here. I’ve been working hard in the gym over the past five or six weeks.

“I want to finish the season strongly. I finished it quite well last year so that’s the main objective again. I’ve had a tough season with injuries and it’s getting right and finishing as strongly as I can.

“Obviously, with the team as well, we want to get as many points as we can and win as many trophies as we can.”

And the English winger thanked the Celtic support for their support and best wishes during his enforced absence.

“The fans have been great,” he said. “They’ve been top-class as usual and have been supporting me right from when I got my injury.

“It’s been frustrating for me, obviously, but also for them because they want to see me play as much as I want to play. But they’ve been great.”

Hopefully he can not just get back fit but stay fit the rest of the season and have the kind of impact for us he did in the second half of last season when he was unstoppable at times. It will be really interesting to see what happens in the summer when this loan deal is done. I don't see him ever playing at Manchester City so he will have to make a decision on his future and where that lies in the not too distant future I think.

We have missed him as an option but less be honest he and Rogic have been two of the biggest disappointments this season, so far..
