McGregor would have provided much more support and linked the play much better in the final 3rd. Robert's, Griff & Sinclair all isolated in the final 3rd...

Was the same v PSG with our midfield three sitting too deep. Amazed he went with the same 3 again.

We needed to try and impose ourselves as much as possible give them something to think about which we failed to do in the first half.

A tweet from his brother last night -

One of the worst shouts i hear watching football " Look up and pass the ball " to the winger running down the line with no support

He needs more support. Having a go at Patrick Roberts for trying to actually do something is the reason so many of our players shy away from responsibility. If they all played like him we’d be in much better shape.

even though he didn't create much, he took responsibility and fought. he was left alone by his team mates most of the time unfortunately.

Gamboa isn't the best but * trying to play on the same side as a luxury like Roberts. He's like a man down against good opposition.

Thought he was * yet again. Keep mentioning it but he needs to learn to stop just running into blind alleys.

No surprise his brother supporting him, nothing wrong with that.

Although, there's been numerous occasions this season where Roberts SHOULD have got the head up and passed it to a teammate, or crossed, but simply ran into defenders and lost possession.

He really needs to get himself imposed in games, as I personally don't think he has done so up until this point - in fact, I'd go as far as to say he's been no better than Jonny Hayes.

    He was terrible today.

There's no doubt he is a far superior player to Forrest, but he needs to up his game otherwise he'll lose his place to an inferior player.

    Very poor from him today.

One of many players in the squad yet to hit the levels of last season.

Sometimes a bit too fancy for his own good, in some games it works but in ones that it isn’t he needs to learn to adapt, collect the ball out wide and have a look at options available.

We're guilty of overplaying him, didn't need to start yesterday after running himself into the ground in Munich..

I've noticed for a few games now that we leave him isolated. As if they expect him to beat 3 or 4 on his own. Lustig not bombing up as much as Tierney does for Sinclair down the other side doesn't help him sometimes.

He seems a slow starter, last season as well he hardly kicked a ball until about February and he was great from when he joined on loan the January before. Send him into on holiday until the last 15-20 games of the season :56:

Aye, he does get left a lot to have to run 30-40 yards and beat a couple of men due to no support but also he could try and hold the ball a bit more or pass inside then make a run. He often chooses himself just to take it on a run and he doesnt have the running power either once he runs 20 yards and starts to slow hes not got the energy to kick on again like a Sinclair or Forrest and ends up cornering himself and losing it.
