Yes it is true. It's "all over the place" as you said you think there is a perception that he goes out of his way to injure our players. He didn't, that's just the way he played. So it's just nonsense.

That's hardly being all over the place, that would be if my points all disagreed with each other. This merely a difference of opinion.

You said you think he goes out of his way to do it whilst also not meaning it because he’s too slow and mistimes things?

If you are talking about my reply to your post I thought you were talking about when he played for us, not against us, which is what my response was based on. And what I actually said later is he is either stupidly reckless or goes out of his way to injure our players.

Aye, I don’t get how it can be both. He’s just always been hard as nails as a player, it’s not exclusively us.

I don't see them as being mutually exclusive. Someone can be hard as nails, while also being slow, with poor positional sense while playing for us, and still be more reckless and/or try to injure our players while playing against us.

I admit it is possible that by the time he came back to Scottish football he was even slower, which meant he was caught out more and became more reckless, which I wrongly interpreted as him trying to do our players. But at the time that's how it appeared to me.

Obviously highly thought of to be offered the chance here.

There's still a need for that even in the modern game. Quite genuinely, if you could have given Efe that aggression and that nasty streak, we'd have had a truly outstanding defender.

On the pitch O'Dea is aggressive with a strong will to win, off the pitch he comes across as being intelligent from what ive heard of him on the Radio. I dont think this is a bad appointment.

Aggression and a nasty streak doesn’t stop a player making howlers.

Are folks really getting whiney about this because he was aggressive when he played against us?

I'd expect nothing less from a professional player...in fact, had he rolled-over when he played against us, then I would seriously be questioning his credentials for this role.

    Get a grip!

Don’t think anybody is saying that’s the case mate.

Just that was the type of player he was, he didn’t ‘go out of his way’ to try and injure Celtic players.

RR said it would’ve made Ambrose a ‘truly outstanding defender’.

    Awww, I get you.

It would have made him far better than he was. He would still have a howler but a lot of his howlers were through a lack of being willing to just attack the * ball sometimes.

    Disagree.

I think him being aggressive or having a nasty streak would just have made him even more of a liability. His howlers were because his concentration was non existent. He would be even more rash if he was trying to take * out as well as the ball.

Fair enough, I think if he actually used his size and strength as a defender instead of allowing himself to be easily brushed aside he’d have been a far better player, and that was down to a lack of aggression. Don’t think anybody could convince me different of that.
