Any time that he isn’t available, the full team falls apart. Everytime we don’t have somebody dropping into the spaces off the front, to knit the play together, a guy who plays in the final 3rd, who can be a focus for us in that end of the pitch.

He’s the only player in the team that’s happy having his back to goal and being able to turn.

Unfortunately, it’s apparent he’ll always have fitness issues. He misses a lot of football, he travels and comes back not 100% too often. We need somebody else who can do this job.

Any time he’s been out this season or playing through injuries we get these tired, insipid performances, with zero movement up top.

Rodgers * it today, no doubt about that but this is a deeper issue.

We need somebody who can replace that. Whether thats somebody at attacking midfield or a target man that could do the same job. We are in desperate need of somecunt that can bring the ball in and * turn.

Christie could be that, but he just had to get injured. I hate the universe.

He's absolutely our most important player I have said it time and time again. Thank * he's on a long term deal. Christie should be able to play there hut we are * with injury.

He couldn’t, he’s better facing the goal and getting past players.

I know you’re joking there but he’s not that type of player either :56:

    Rogic, Armstrong, Christie.

3 players who actually try/tried to get close to the sole striker,

I'd give Morgan or Johnstone a shot the now in the no.10 role.

Rogić is less able to turn around a player if he is facing away from the goal. When Rogić comes over to the right byline, it becomes crippling. Away from the goal, on the wrong side, it is like constipation. Christie is more agile.

I agree with you mate more so with the target man. We currently have 1 fit striker who is so far off the boil it's unreal. This stuff with Griffiths has came at the wrong time for us but in no way am I blaming him. Even with both fit I would like a big lump of wood to sit up front in the Jan Vennegoor mould

A RB is more important then he won’t have to * about with the system as much.

It’s his best attribute for me. Back to goal, turning, linking play and making positive moves in the final 3rd.

Rogic moving over to the right is one of many reasons Forrest has done so well this season.

Aye, a target man can do that job, even if it is in a very different way. Just got nothing when he’s not there and it effects the full team. No outball for the defenders or midfielders, no link up for Eddy, no space for Forrest to exploit...

In an ideal world we'd have a fast Rogic who can deliver for 90 minutes every week a whole season.

As it is he's dragged around the world playing for Oz then forced to play virtually every domestic and European game for us as he's the wizard to unlock defences.

McGregor has some of the attributes necessary but he's too much a jack of all trades, he performs consistently well everywhere. Problem is we won't get anyone as good as Rogic. We could either get another loan or cheapie who will be considerably worse, or we could * out 10 million plus as that's what it will take to replace him with like for like quality.

It looks to me like Rogić being there blocks up Forrest. I've seen it several times. Opposition swarm Rogić, and then a backpass happens. He, IMO, must always hold the central areas, because he has much more options then. If he were two-footed, it might be OK on the right, but this way, no.

No chance, Rogic moves over, Forrest fills in the space that he’s dragged over.

Rogic and Forrest have been by far our most effective attacking partnership this season.

I'd play Johnston there 100% with Rogic out..

Has the pace, trickery, guile and confidence to cause murders in there..

Big responsibility for such a young guy, he does have a really quick turn on him but does he have the nous to create the space and movement for others? Who knows. Would be worth a try though

His movement is good as well and he's very unpredictable so even when it doesn't pay off for him....it would naturally leave space for other's when he's occupied..

He's our next best option for me. Seen him play 10 for the youth's as well. Think Man City away and he was excellent there..

Which is mental considering he was comparing Ralston to McGrain and gave him a massive contract, signed Gamboa and is desperate for Lustig to sign a new deal...

    Undeniably true..

Waxed lyrical to the point it was toe curling about Ralston, offered him a massive deal and doesn't rate or trust him now..

Gamboa he signed and has never rated or trusted. Barely played him..

Lustig he dropped and had to bring him back in..

    Shocking..
