There is absolutely no chance we are going to pay someone almost twice what any other player at the club is on.

You are looking at around £10m in wages for a 3 year deal, with no real chance of a selling the player on. it's a non starter I fear.

He also said last night we are "maybe" getting a midfielder in a long with Taylor.

Not sure I can handle this rumour...

Would be a statement signing right enough, even if it is an initial loan.

Hes made exactly 67 league appearances for Spurs. It's a sign.

As much as I love big Vic... if yhis gies ahead... are we getting the same player who left?

By all accounts from (epl wallopers) spurs fans he's done. They claim a chronic knee injury has ruined his game, that his strength and mobility are gone.

Now Im minded to take it all wiyh a pinch of salt considering how entitled epl fans tend to be but I am very concerned. Especially given the spurs managers comments, effectively telling him to * off somewhere else.

    Who knows though.

Maybe what big Vic needs most is an arm around his shoulder and a few words of encouragement.

He played in the champions league final just a couple months ago. He'll be the best player on the park.

Wanyama wouldn't come here to sit on the bench so who would be dropped?

He played in the Champions league final, and played 22 games last season for a team who qualified for the champions league. Spurs however have finally splashed out the quids and bought a fair few players. It just creates no room.
I don't think he will come.

aye... and i can think of many others in the team that could be doing with/deserve that wage rise,
if any wage rises were to happen at all.

Saying that, what i'd really like to see right now is...
some of that transfer money being used to tighten up andor extend most of our existing contracts.

All Mid to Front for starters + putting in big release clauses andor large percentage sell on fees, so that,
when and if the worst was to happen, we'd have the funds to replace long term.

He didn't play in the final. Played in the rounds leading up to it though.

Would love him back but if its going to be at the cost of Scott Brown (which it would be) unless it's a permanent deal I cannot see it happening
