    I'd agree with that.

    I would say Denayer was.

Maybe Denayer aye. Gordon and Scepovic certainly weren't. Definitely remember him saying he hadn't had a chance to see Scepovic play.

He had visited the Etihad when he was manager of Stromsgodset to study training methods, so I think he will have been aware of Denayer, and probably Guidetti as well. Both might have been his signings to be fair.

At the end of the day I think all signings should be his. Maybe I'm a bit old school but I don't see how he can fit players into his system if they aren't hand picked by him.

Him, Tonev and Berget were such pointless signings. Probably only made about 25 appearances between them.

    Really strange.

Pointless signings because they turned out to be * at football. We obviously didn't know we were signing bad players.

Not so pointless in the context that we had a squad at the start of the season with no width. Berget had worked with Deila before as well and he needed that getting thrown into the qualifiers.

Easy to say in hindsight they were strange, in reality they are all explainable signings. We even wanted to buy Tonev before he went to Villa when Lennon was here, for reasons unknown.

I've seen worse. Never a winger though.

He's a decent player and he'll be useful as a centre mid somewhere. Just wasn't the player we needed.

I could see him doing well at Monaco.

He was nowhere near the worst of them.

As for Wakaso he looked alright as well. I found it very odd how he got very little domestic game time. Didnt he end up with the same amount of euro to domestic games ratio. 5 each.

He barely played and never really impressed me, never a winger anyway, that's for sure.

    Best of luck.

Scored a peach of a goal against Salzburg but can't remember much else.

Have we missed a trick here? It's not like he's going to some backwater team...he's off to Monaco! They obviously see something special in him.

Wish he got more of a chance here.

Wonder what Monaco saw in him if he hardly got a game here.

    Good luck to him.

Does anyone know what the fee was? RD obviously thinks with the plethora of midfield players we have the money would be better spent elsewhere.

Or is it a case of we can't afford the £3m fee? Or was he just plain * in training etc
