He was taken off due to an injury anyway. Could see him hobbling about during the celebrations.

I thought you were continuing what everyone else was posting about him last night as if he was some dud :56:

For what it’s worth I’d have him back in a heartbeat.

He’ll be gone in the summer but that’s not why. He was injured before the game and could barely walk by half time.

See him at full time limping about trying to celebrate :56:

Victor Wanyama insists he owes his dream date at the Champions League Final to Neil Lennon

The Tottenham Hotspur star is preparing for the biggest game of his life when he and his team-mates face Liverpool in Madrid on Saturday night.

Wanyama can’t wait for the showpiece occasion and says his opportunity to perform in European football’s big one is largely down to Lennon's faith.

Eight years ago, the African was plucked from Belgian outfit Germinal Beerschot by the Celtic boss and handed the chance to play regularly in the Continent’s elite competition.

Wanyama is adamant Lennon’s coaching and guidance set him on the proper path to his current stardom at Spurs via a spell at Southampton.

He said: “I will always be grateful to Celtic for what they did for me and my career and I will always be grateful to Neil Lennon, too.

He taught me the game. He made me a mature player. He gave me that understanding which let me go on.

“I haven’t heard from him, but I watched their game against Hearts in the Scottish Cup Final last Saturday and I was cheering for them.
“Neil Lennon gave me a platform and also a belief that I could go and play at the highest level.

Celtic is still like a family to me. It is still a home. They gave me the platform on a big stage and I took it.”

Wanyama admits he’s delighted that Lennon has landed the Parkhead post on a permanent basis having seen through the job of clinching the treble Treble.

He added: “I am pleased to see him get the job. I think he is a fantastic manager and a fantastic coach, but he is also a good man.”

And Wanyama believes Lennon’s credentials will be perfectly displayed in the Spanish capital when the Euro final takes his place with both him and another former charge in the shape of Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk featuring in the contest.

He said: “It is incredible. You can see how good a coach Neil Lennon is just from that.”

Don’t see where he fits in at Present tbh. Think other areas are needing strengthened beforehand and midfield is one of our strongest at present

Please, however far fetched it sounds, let this happen.

I'd even post something nice about Corbyn if does.

I wouldn’t be holding a protest if he came back :56:
Just stating the money we would likely spend could go towards a LB or someone else we need in the squad as I think we are strong in midfield atm..
Hawd on am being Intelligent we’ve got Hunners a money to spend :56:

Midfield lacked presence against Cluj imo. Would be a great signing.
