    I don't think I have ever seen him take one. It is definitely something that needs to be addressed, I can't help but feel it is one of Brendan's blind spots.

    I don't believe there isn't work going on behind the scenes in order to get the defence sorted, surely, so all in all I'm happy with the transfers so far, and all the best to him.

    Agreed. Set pieces are a big part of the game. Both offensively and defensively we have been weak in that regard for some time!

    It was almost certainly tweeted by a Slovakian.

    The British Isles is the current standard English-language name for these islands, for better or worse.

    I imagine that most of us would struggle to tweet in a second language, let alone anticipate when and where a term in standard usage may be contentious, so perhaps you should let this one go.

    Just to reiterate, all I said was the term 'sticks in my craw'. It wasn't anything more than an observation about the term, not about who used the term, how it was used or why it was used. There is nothing, on my part at least, to let go.
    It would appear though, that other people can't let it go!

    A guy I sit with is shocking for it. We were over in Dublin for a friendly v Liverpool a few years back and bumped into Dermot Desmond going into the game. Jim gets a picture with Desmond and saves it as his phone background.

    Tells the story to strangers all the time and says "errs me wae the main man... Desmond Dermot"

    I used to correct him but I've gave up now.
