In your oppinion who are the top 5 most under-rated players currently playing in the world today.

    1. Essien - He's just a tank that will never give up, honestly think he could improve almost any midfield in the world.

    2. J.Zanetti - Been going up and down the right hand side for Inter for over 10 years and is still one of their better players

    3. D.Silva - Maybe not under-rated like a Zanetti type player but he usually never gets a mention when folk are talking about best LM.

    4. Iniesta - Ok he's not really that under-rated either because most people will tell you he is a fantastic player but I still think he's better than most people will tell you

    5. Carrick - He's just had two bad games back to back but still I think when he plays well Utd play well. Think his transfer fee raised eye brows but on his day I think he's as good a passer you can find

Riquelme's the most under-rated player ever IMO. I know his attitude stinks and all that, but no doubting his ability, he's arguably the most talented player in the world, yet not many people rate him highly, *, a lot of people don't even know who he is.

Carrick is another who's extremely underrated.

Robert Green is under-rated too. Should be England's number 1.

Xavi for me is under-rated, people don't appreciate just how good he is as far as I'm concerned he's better than Lampard & Gerrard.

Eduardo is a bit under-rated, great striker. Very, very clinical.

Steven Gerrard, in my opinion he is the best player in the world and no doubt would be the first name on my team sheet. Doesn't get the recognition he deserves

Ribery and Xavi. Both unbelievable players as far as i'm concerned!

But this guy is massively underrated: Shay Given.

Given is definately one of the best goalies in the world, he is so, so reliable.

Hangeland = he is one of the best defenders in the EPL superb player
David James = still labelled as a clown, but he really has been brilliant for Portsmouth
    Iniesta - top class
Giggs - Played for United all his life and still does the job

Perhaps not but he's terrible and should be playing first division football. Still can't believe he's had 3 caps for Scotland:54:

Clint Dempsey - Managers never like him when they first get the job at Fulham because he isn't a prototypical Forward, Winger, or Central Midfielder, but he always fights his way back and ends up being a key contributor to the team. Has one of the highest goal counts for midfielders in the premier league this season.

Players in the Bundesliga - Their attacking players are superb, but nobody ever talks about them... Munich's recent demolition of Sporting and the success that they are having in the UEFA Cup should make people sit back and realize that the Bundesliga is coming back with a vengeance.

Most creative midfielders like Xavi and Iniesta who don't necessarily dribble through entire teams by themselves, but make everything happen... and conversely midfielders like Scott Brown who break up what the opposition do and get the ball back to the rest of the team.
