UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 qualifiers

It's going to be more difficult this year. Still more than capable of qualifying but hoping for a couple of easier draws on the way.

 

I'm sure i read a while back that it was possible that we could possibly fall into unseeded in the 4rth qual if we got that far.....must have been before leagues were complete because i think this is it now-

Yup....this carry on's a * nonsense mate.....had a quick look and think it must have have been a while back and it was the Swiss that could have done us..think?? if Basel had won it we've have been pushed down to 2nd seeds in 4rth qual...as if it's not bad enough as it is!!

As previously confirmed, Celtic will be seeded in all round of the Champions League qualifying, should we progress. There are some dangerous teams in the unseeded half of the draws, though.

Here's how the 1st round looks. It will probably be split into regional-ish groups.




The 2nd round is where things start to get dangerous. Here's how it would look if all the seeded teams made it through.

Again, if it follows last year we might be put into groups that take some of these teams out of the equation.




The 3rd round adds in a few more tough teams - again based on the seeds progressing. I'm not sure I fancy a trip to Greece or Croatia for round 3.




And finally the Playoff round, which throws up a couple of familiar names.




Should we reach the group stage again, here's what awaits us - should all the other seeds also qualify.

We're almost certain to be pot 4, as 22 of the 26 auto qualifiers are ranked above us. If another 2 teams ranked above us come through qualifying then it's Pot 4.

Shocking how PSV go staight into the play-offs when we need to play 3 rounds before then. Firsr round is pish easy, we'd skelp any team. 2nd round could be a banana skin but half the teams are quite easy, i'd take HJK Helsinki I mind we played them years ago and they never really threatened us in the games was a clear gap in quality - would want to avoid Cluj, Rosenborg, Hapoel Beer Sheva and Mdafgdhjflland for sure. Last 2 rounds will be solid.

 

The 3rd and Play Off Rounds seem potentially now much harder with this new format, 1st round anyone will do, maybe Cork to minimise travelling, New Saints in the 2nd Round and then as I say it’s not going to be easy and we need to be on our game by then, just spare us Qarabag and * Astana again.

Unless I’m totally not getting a grip of this are we saying only 4 teams are allowed to qualify through the qualifiers and playoffs whilst all the rest including 4th spots like Spurs, Hoffenheim and Inter go straight into the groups in September?

 

So a team with less coefficient points than us are a pot 1 team? Ffs

I don't think we'll make the groups this year...

I pray I'm wrong but with the extra game and us not strengthening much in Jan, I think it'll be too much to ask.

bit of luck in the draw and i think we have a good shout.....just looking at that again it * me off that BATE, Zagreb, Tiraspol and Midyland are straight into round 2. * sick of this pish!!

 

Horrible path to qualification. Looks like it will be by far the toughest we've faced.

 

we are long, long overdue a decent draw, not just in the groups but in the qualifiers and after xmas should we progress that far. I mean seriously * has been up with our draws in the past few years. Barca, Bayern, PSG, City, Juve, Inter, Champion's League yes but christ alive gies a * break. and all the * that were like "give us the GLAMOUR draw!!" * right off. The St Mirrens of the world pray they don't draw us in the Scottish Cup. Why? Because they're smart

 

Wasn't that long ago when he had to face Arsenal in the final qualifier. Back in 2009 was a lot tougher

 

Should clarify that I mean this will be the toughest we've faced in the champions path after winning the league.

 

We could pull all the English clubs in the league set up,,,,,,,,,, well 3 of them
