We used to not, in recent years though we are much better away.

    2-0 Dynamo Moscow
    3-3 Rapid Vienna
    1-1 Rennes
    1-1 Udinese
    3-2 Spartak Moscow
    1-1 Salzburg
    1-1 Fenerbahce
    2-2 Ajax
    1-1 Man City
    1-1 Borussia Monchengladbach
    1-0 Rosenborg
    3-0 Anderlecht

All scores that would do us over there and all against teams probably as good as AEK

This has given me a little more hope. Its the current backline without our best CD that is giving me the fear.

In the context of the game, 100%.

The alternative is moving McGregor wider and bringing in Rogic. I’d personally prefer Calum off the striker given his record of vital European goals.

In the context of form and impact, Sinclair's * deserves to be sat on the bench, as does Rogic's after that game.

We need goals, so we need to attack.....simple as that.

    I'd be all over a 3-5-2

    Gordon

    Lustig Boyata Tierney

    Forrest Ntcham Broony McGregor Hayes

    Edouard Griffiths

Defence & GK need the game of their lives for us to progress...

The fact the game finished 1-1 last night does mean we will probably approach this with a more attacking mindset which is probably better than trying to hold onto a lead with our shaky defence.

    Gordon

    Lustig Jozo Boyata
    Gamboa McGregor Brown Ntcham Tierney

    Forrest Edouard

3-5-2 / 5-3-2. Need a lot of pace in the team for countering. I want to see Gamboa play as RWB and push Forrest up top and play off Edouard. Wouldn't be against Moving Forrest to RWB and playing Griffiths - that's another option.

This is never going to happen but you could actually move Tierney into Back 3 and move McGregor into LWB position and play Eboue in midfield alongside Brown to give Ntcham more freedom. Eboue actually played very well against Zenit.

Don't want to see Sinclair anywhere near the team, he's a waste of a jersey at the moment. No confidence at all, predictable and shitebag in a tackle. Don't need any passengers for this one.

I'd probably go for that as well, Hayes surprised me at the weekend, for being 31 and out a long time he was quick and sharp off the mark He's also an aggressive player who puts in a shift defensively and he can cross a ball which will be good with 2 up front.

We need a single goal, as long as we don’t concede we have a chance for 90 minutes.

We won’t go out there and play 2 full backs at centre half and 2 wingers as full backs.

Ooft. Would never have believed that! It wouldn't be that bad if the back line was decent and solid and had formed a strong partnership over those years, but unfortunately, it hasn't. Our recruitment of CBS in particular has been appalling.

    I'd go with... Gordon
New RB. Boyata. New CB. KT
    Broon. Ntcham
    Jamsey. Rogic. Arzani
    Eddie

If the recruits don't come in, replace with Lustig, jozo and Hayes

Yeh but you missed the likes of Beer sheeva, Astana, Karagandy, Zenit, Malmo, Molde, Ajax defeats.

I feel like we are bottlers away from home. To such an extent that we normally struggle to string a few passes together in the midfield.

Every team loses games away in Europe though, we are a lot better than we were. Now that we are more of a footballing side also we are capable of scoring in away games much more than we used to be.

Under Strachan we'd be lucky to score 1 goal in an away game and never 2, scoring 2 away would have been unheard of. Now we score most of the time even against teams like PSG, Man City and Gladbach and we even have scored 2 and 3 against sides like Ajax, Anderlecht, Salzburg, Dinamo Zagreb, Spartak Moscow and that.

In recent years we have transformed into more of an Ajax, we're more capable of winning and dominating European games home and away but are also much more susceptible to a massive pumping because we are now more open and attacking. Before we were always tighter and more defensive and could sneak results at home but away often struggled to even hit a shot never mind get a goal.
