Eboue is the only one of those I hold any hope for, at the moment.

Musonda obviously talented but not even sure if he'll return.

Ajer(Cheers Ronny:50: ), Dembele, Sinclair & Ntcham have been the standouts..

The rest have been squad fillers with Paddy and Edouard being successful loanees... if we can bring both in on perm deals and add Bain too, that would be excellent..

We need to add the quality of the likes of Ntcham at GK, CB & RB..

I would add hayes and de vries to that list, and hendry as a big old meh.

Could be looking at losing a few big players this summer so needs to up his game on this front.

£ for £ we've undoubtedly got value overall. With the likes of Dembele, Ntcham and Ajer all worth many multiples of what they signed for.

But in % terms I think we should be doing better with our signings, there's far too many of them that have contributed the square root of * all. Gamboa, Eboue, Compper, Hayes, De Vries etc. all of which will be on a reasonable weekly salary.

If we're to kick on in Europe we really need to be making sure we get the maximum return possible on our wage budget, especially considering our opponents will likely have one that dwarves ours as it is.

Eboues a strange one for me he’s been here over a year played decent in some games but had no consistent game time whatsoever doesn’t even get off the bench most of the time, starting to think Rodgers doesn’t fancy him, don’t expect to see comperr again either.

Absolutely. The only one who will, likely, have cost a significant sum, that is also looking to be a waste of money, is Musonda.

I don't think Benyu will ever become a regular but he's one of those cheap punts we sometimes take a chance on.

Gamboa is also a waste of money but I doubt we paid a huge amount for him. Hayes will hopefully become a good squad player. De Vries, if nothing else, gave Gordon a boot up the *. Compper, well we'll need to wait and see how he turns out.

We will only pay for what ever time Musonda was here dont think a 16-20 week loan deal will have amounted to much tbh

I know, but it's still a waste if he's sent back now.

Just saw that Musonda's mum tweeted that he's ''back for good''. Ominous.

Benyu was definitely worth a punt, I wouldn't write him off just yet, he looked superb against Lyon pre-season.

The rest just don't make sense at all. To chase players for weeks to then refuse to play them is just bizarre. Transfer fees and wages so far for all those above plus Musonda probably equate to around £6-7 million. It's too much to be going out the door with no return.

Edit: More if you include Kouassi's fee and wages in the mix (Although he may yet come good)

Every manager makes bad signings I think the mark of a club is it’s percentage of successful versus * transfers and if you can recoup your losses and/or make a profit. In this regard Celtic are frankly brilliant. We have an excellent scouting system and I’m never concerned about finding new talent. Lennoxtown is also a conveyor belt of quality which actually we haven’t used enough. Our youth sides consistently perform well in nextgen and u19 Champions Leagues and dominate domestically like the seniors but don’t get enough of a look in even when the league is done and dusted.

Probably get slagged for saying this but i think Lennon was our best ever manager in the transfer market.

Kayal, Hooper, Forster, Wanyama, Izzy, Ledley, Stokes, Matthews, Ki (can’t actually remember if he was a Lennon buy), Rogic, Van Dijk, Mulgrew, Commons, Lustig. All unmitigated successes.
All for well less than 20 million, really astonishing when you think about it. All added up Lennon’s players have probably raked in around 150 million in fees since we sold them.

People also slated Ambrose and Kelvin Wilson but both were excellent home and away vs Barca when we only conceded in injury time and also in other CL games that last 16 year.

As for now I’d sell/release: Bitton, Armstrong, De Vries, Boyata, Sviatchenko, Gamboa, Lustig, Hayes, Ciftci (!!!!!) and Allan.

Loan out: Benyu, Morgan, Christie, Ralston, Hazard, Compper (transfer fail but we can’t instantly sell), Kouassi, Miller, Aitchison, Johnston and any other good youngster as we won’t * play them.

I think Rogic, Dembele & Simunovic will leave but don’t want them to.

Tonnes of deadwood could be cleared and we only need 3 top players to improve for Europe, all in defence. I’m confident Sinclair will pick up again and Ntcham will be ready for next years groups.

We can't loan out Christie again next season for me it's decision time, he's 23 and has had 2 full seasons out on loan. Personally I'm skeptical that he's at the required level to make an impact for us but Brendan might see it differently, especially if the likes of Rogic and Armstrong go this summer. We'd be very light in attacking midfielders with Roberts and Musonda likely going too.

Think Christie deserves the chance to show what he can do in a better side.
