28 years old and never really been a prolific striker, only 23 in 100 games with his current club.

    Matches, goal, assists

    FC Thun 100 23 12
    HJK Helsinki 57 28 10
    FC Lahti 38 15 9

Did well in the Finnish league, but not a very impressive record

Someone else on twitter was saying he's in Glasgow just now for a medical. Says that he has good technique, good in the air and has a great shot.

I'll take it with a pinch of salt.

Looks decent on the ball. Good lay offs. Could be usefull.

Marco Strellar failed in the bundesliga and doesn't have the best scoring stats, but he works wonders for Basel. * to play against. Maybe this guy could be the same for us.

Then again, Pukki starts before him for Finland, so I don't know what to think.

Good comparison tbh. Streller is a quality big player.

Just watched a youtube video for this guy and he looks decent on the ball, some cracking finishes as well.

He got 12 goals last season, 8 in the first 10 matchdays then 4 in the next 20 something, if he's in Glasgow I hope it's the huns he's joining :smiley-laughing002:

Someone's updated his Wiki page already:

'On the 3rd of June 2015 Sadik signed for the Scottish champions Glasgow Celtic and upon arrival at Celtic Park declared "I hate the huns".'

I have been fooled by youtube videos before but I like the broad strokes. The fine print is an altogether different story. Not against this but not confident he is the striker we need him to be.

That's only because of NT coach Mixu Paatelainen's system, which favors fast runners instead of stronger target types. (Which is absolutely stupid considering Finland's material, but I won't go into that now.)

Also, coach Paatelainen and Sadik have not been the closest of friends. Last year Paatelainen didn't give Sadik a call up even when he had been performing well for a long time in Switzerland. Everyone in Finland thought he deserved a call up. Then Sadik gave a bitter interview to a Finnish journalist, claiming that he should've been called up. Don't remember his words but he wasn't very positive about Paatelainen. He did finally get a call up in March, was a late sub against Northern Ireland and scored immediately.

Finland's important Hungary game he will miss because of his wedding, which has again caused some stir in Finland. His wedding takes place on June 7th, Finland plays on June 13th. But Paatelainen said that that's not enough time, since Sadik won't be able to play in the Estonia friendly on June 9th. So he's not called up at all.

He just scored two goals again Swiss top club Basel two weeks ago. Including this goal (worth watching): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05Ppofkbbzs
