    I understand the development compensation system but this would be a clear glitch on it. Man City buys a nigerian kid, does not give him any chances and manages to earn money from it. This system was created so big money launderers like Man City had to compensate for preying on clubs that actually develop players and nurture talent, not the opposite.

    To be fair on a smaller scale clubs in Scotland feel we do the same. We demand money whenever our younger guys sign a contract with a small Scottish club and apparently a lot of the time this is what prevents the move.

    Get what you're saying, but even so they have had the kid for 14 years, a long time before they became the money whores they are today.

    Also reckon that although the compensation rule is to help the smaller clubs, its still only fair that all clubs get treated the same regardless of size.

    This wouldn't be fair indeed.

    In cases like the guy who left for Brentford I think it's fair. Championship clubs have shiteloads of money nowadays.

    Saw him play a friendly in Shenzhen, China for City v Dortmund pre season and texted a mate then to keep an eye on the #53 in the Man City first team this season - that didn't happen for him....but from what I saw during the Dortmund game I was hugely impressed.
    Strong, can tackle, composed on the ball and good passer. A little too composed at times but I think he could be different class for us.
