    Good thread, nice information there:50:

Scott Brown on 277 appearances, only 38 games away from reaching Henrik at 315. How loch have we had Brown is that about 5 years?

Billy McNeill looking a bit frail recently, you forget he's in his seventies. I think he's safe at the top of that list.

    What an absolute legend :notworthy

Wouldn't be so sure, Scott Brown is only 514 games away from overtaking him :56:

McNeill made his Celtic debut in a team with a player who made his Celtic debut in 1948.

He also played over 30 games with Bobby Evans who made his Celtic debut in 1944.

Why, do you mean you thought he had played more or a lot less?

Aye big Cesar, a doubt anybody will ever beat that now.

Over 100 appearances more than 2nd place, Lisbon Lions Captain, 2 time manager, double winner as manager in the centenary season just to name a few. The man is up there alongside anyone in our history and should be stood beside the other three in the fullness of time, I'm sure he will be.

Cesar - 13 league titles as player and manager, 10 Scottish Cups, 7 league cups.

    Oh and a European Cup.

    Some record.

I'm assuming the John Hughes from the 60s and not the current Caley Thistle manager?

Yes, the ICT manager is not a Lisbon Lion.

It looks like Scot Brown could easily become a top 30 appearance player for us, which would be a magnificent achievement for the modern footballer who normally doesn't stay too long at any club .

Technically he was a Lion, he played his part in the run up to the final.

Exactly, he didn't play in the final but he still played his part in our great achievement.

Definitely a sign of how football has changed that there are so few 'modern-day' players there.

Brown is 1 appearance of 300.

Next closest to reaching the Top 100 is Mulgrew who is 14 games away, Izaguirre is 19 games away, Stokes is 22 games away, id imagine those 3 will probably make it by the end of the season.
