Penny just hasn't dropped for the lad. Could be a good striker but just a waster.

Tony Watt is to return to Charlton Athletic, with his loan spell at Hearts cut short and Addicks manager Karl Robinson demanding an apology.

The 23-year-old Scotland striker has only scored once in 17 appearances for the Scottish Premiership club.

But Robinson says Watt will be back at the English League One club in days.

"Tony has to come back and apologise for certain things and then endear himself to the fans and to me and to the club," he told Charlton's website.

"What is going to happen with Tony Watt is that he is going to come in and I'm going to run the legs off of him.

"I'm going to make him sweat, make him cry and I want to see whether he has got the desire to play for me and this club.

"That is the top and bottom of it. There have been a lot of questions about Tony, his mentality and desire, but no-one in this football world has ever questioned his talent."

Watt has not played for Charlton, who he joined from Standard Liege in January 2015, since the following November.

That's what he needs, if he can't be arsed then he can go stack shelves in Tesco. Can't see anyone even semi decent touching him if he * this up.

A waste of a talent that is obviously being hampered by his desire and personality.

I highly doubt that he will now reach his full potential as his ego has got in the way.

He'll look back when he matures at the age of 50 and think 'what have I done?'.

You can just tell Watt won't be up for that kinda challenge at mid table league 1 side Charlton. If he was gonna do it, he'd of done it at a host of bigger club's, and certainly at Hearts where it seemed a last chance saloon.....which he pretty much said himself..

    He's an embarrassment..

I like Karl Robinson. Comes across as very smart and jusy your average bloke.

Hopefully he can sort Watt out, but I can't see it.

It's sad but he'll only have himself to blame. Plenty of managers have given him chances and been very clear about what he needs to do.

You still hope he'll wake up and realise what he's throwing away, but I can't help but feel he'll end up sat in a dingy pub in his later years telling anyone who'll listen about that goal against Barca.

Kinda annoys me that it was him who scored that goal, in a roundabout sorta way.

It's all he'll be remembered for but I'll still remember Forster & Wanyama for the part they played in that result in years to come.

He blew his chance(s), which is ironic cause it's something he didn't do often on the pitch for us.

So the breaking news about him is that he's still a tadger? Who would have guessed.

All his goals for us came in 2012. Were now in 2017 and he's still being talked about. Hes wasted 3 or 4 great chances in his career.

Boy needs shrink and his * kicked! you never hear of africans or south americans degenerating, they're poorer and have it harder but they seem to have respect for themselves and dedication and make it work. Hopefully the charlton manager can get through to him, all this boy has to do is work his * off and his talent will take care of the rest.

No one will sort him out, it's as clear as day his heid is up his own *. He'll tell you differently of course but one look at his career to date proves otherwise.

He had the world at his feet when he was at Celtic and threw it all away, he didn't even need to be playing regularly just keeping his head down and improving and he'd still be here just now.

He'll never learn, I'm actually surprised people are still interested in him, a total waster. At least he'll be able to tell anybody who might recognize him that he scored a goal against Barcelona years ago.
