New manager at Coventry, still wish the man well sad it didn't work out for him here I was genuinely gutted to see him struggling here

Had potential, was a shame Fortune didn't score enough goals. I was very optimistic about him.

This has potential to sound weird, but I was always saying to pals I wanted an African type striker (to avoid putting it another way), as I felt they generally had the skill set needed to play the lone striker/compete forward. Fast, tall, strong and technically sound. Wanted Diomansy Kamara, pre-Celtic loan probably 2006/7/8-ish, in a time were I was up to my eye balls in English football. Sammy fits the bill as well tbh, proving that you don't need an African ancestry haha, a little naive perhaps back then, but in the end he didn't do great at that role, Kamara probably would of been similar.

Dembele is that man I always wanted. Henri Camara, to Kamara, via Fortune and we have now found the template of the type of striker I've wanted since The King left.

I never felt overly keen on him but like all of our managers, I wanted him to do well. He made a right * of it though.

In the same boat regarding Kamara and Fortune. I thought they would both be unreal. Still feel that Kamara done quite well but just got completely overshadowed by Keane.

Beautiful Sunday - the IRA version
What's interesting is that since MON, that is since the new millennium (2000 onward), Mowbray's season is universally recognised as our worst and yet we only finished 6 points behind the Huns.

Those 6 points are all the more glaring when you consider we were cheated out of the first derby game of the season at the Bigotdome when Thomson turned down 2 stonewall pens (both on Maloney) and we were also cheated out of the second derby game in the New Year when Fortune had a goal wrongly chopped off and Lafferty should have seen red for a horror tackle on Andy Hinkle.
