Needs some game time this weekend, then against ZSP - whether that's 20/30 minutes or so but he's what we've been missing and it would be silly to put off his match sharpness.

Wary of rushing him back for Zenit. That’s a good few weeks ahead of schedule.

Don’t see the point of having him on the bench today if he didn’t get a run out..

He was about to come on then Partick scored their 2nd. Was told to sit back down, looked gutted

Great to have him back, doubt he’ll be involved against Zenit though.

Rodgers also admitted that Tom Rogic, the Australian attacking midfielder who has been sidelined for over two months with a knee injury, could feature against Roberto Mancini's men even though he was prevented from coming on yesterday when Sammon netted.

Rogic was set to replace Forrest near the end of the match, but Rodgers put on Eboue Kouassi after the visitors netted.

“I had to apologise to him for that,” he said. “At 3-1, we should have been comfortable in the game. But of course when the late goal goes in it changes your thought process. So unfortunately for him he is going to have to wait. But he is back in training and he looks great.

“Tom is going to get some minutes with the under-23 squad on Monday. He has been out for 10 weeks now and needs some game time. He is working pretty hard in training, but he needs some game time. If he gets that it will give him confidence if he needs to play.

Good to have him back. He's as hot and cold as anyone else this season but he offers something different to anyone else in the 10 role. Hope to * he can stay injury free for a good while now at least.

We miss his ability to pick the ball up in the hole and control the game around the oppositions box. No one else in the squad has the close control to do it.

Cannae wait to see him back.

I would out him in the first team right away.

We have been lacking a 10 for some time.

Nah, he takes weeks to get back to full flow.

No chance he should be started on Thursday IMO.

even when hes getting up to speed hes still the best option we have. hes always been that way after coming back, being quiet in the game then popping up and scoring or assisting. i honestly believe rogic being out is the reason sinclair has been below par.

Vital for us. For me he's the one true quality no 10 we have. Sorely missed. Wouldn't want to rush him back for Thursday but considering the way we've been playing I'd be severely tempted on this occasion.

CD: Rogic is a little bit further on and hopefully he will be available over the next week or so.

As has been said, he takes a while to get going again at the best of times.

    No way I'd start him.
