Watching him this season, he definitely looks a lot quicker especially when travelling with the ball. That extra yard of pace can only help him

 

Much better stamina too. Doesn't look like he's flagging as much towards the end of games.

 

So does that mean we can finally put to bed the myth he isn't a 90 minute player?

 

To be fair, I think that had some credibility in the past. Nowadays it's not the case, his fitness has come on leaps and bounds.

It wasn't a myth. The work he's put in should be 100% recognised, he's noy relying on skill alone, he is recognisibly quicker and stronger. He's powerful as well as skillfull now. His stamina is greatly improving.

That's down to his hard work and Brendan's management.

He was immense when he came on, players bouncing off him. Really noticeable that the game swung back in our favour after his introduction.

He deserves enormous credit for working on the physical side of his game. When you pair his technical ability with his frame it makes for a frightening proposition. If we get a favourable group I suspect he'll make a huge impact in the Champions league this season.

 

Hey, don't get me wrong. I'm the big man's biggest fan and think he should start every game. There was questions over his ability to last 90 last season. If he can prove he is able to do that this season then that can only be a plus for us.

 

He proved it last season, he was well into doing it when his injury hit, he (similarly to KT) has came back quicker and stronger, and in Rogic's case, with a lot more stamina.

 

Yea, but it did take him a while to get up to speed. As you said because then injured.

Would be delighted if he has done the work pre season ginger him through the 90 mins. The problem is that he plays at such a high tempo basically flat out, a 90 mins Rogic is something that I love to see and scares the * out the opposition.

 

He's not really had a pre-season mate, due to international commitments and our early start. It's just a continuation of what he's been working on.

 

Hear what your saying Dev, but with Broony and N'cham certs to start in midfield. The fight is between Rogic, Armstrong and McGregor for the other places. The only fault (if you could call it that) of Rogic was lasting the 90mins. As I said I believe that's because he goes flat out from start to finish.

Love him in the team, we are far more of a threat with him playing. So hopefully your point above is spot on and we can all enjoy him this year. He certainly looks like he's a lot sharper and dare I say a bit quicker too.
