Easily my fav player, absolute magician.

Actually if you asked me Tom or Paddy for next 5 years, id take Tom.

And that's something as I adore Paddy, I adore Paddy that much that even though its a no-go area for me, id let him pump me. Thats how much I rate Oz.

Switched to Sportsound at halftime and someone summed it up perfectly. His feet are magical, especially for a big guy and if he had a bit more pace he would genuinely be world class..

Looks to me as if he's been working on becoming a powerful runner on the ball as opposed to a lightning quick one. Which suits him perfectly because despite the fact he has the lightest of touch with the baw, he's actually a fairly big unit - particularly for a creative attacking midfielder.

Ran the show today. His quick feet and vision were too much for Kilmarnock to handle.

Amazing player, always seen he had ability since he signed but never thought he would end up being as great as he is. I just want to run my hands through his incredibly thick hair. :notworthy:rolleyes:

JF: "“For the size of him [Tom Rogic] he has great feet. He’s a player that you want to have in your team and he’s great to play."

JF: "He finds space and slips balls in and always looks to do one-twos.”

JF: “He was tremendous for the goal. I think that’s what we needed, a wee bit of life and creativity and he definitely brings that.”

JAMES Forrest heaped praise on team-mate Tom Rogic after the Australian internationalist produced two sublime moments of creativity to set up both of Celtic’s goals against Kilmarnock.

Rogic was instrumental in helping Celtic extend their domestic undefeated run to 52 games after setting up Forrest and Callum McGregor to score in the Hoops' 2-0 victory at Rugby Park.

A stubborn Kilmarnock defence prevented Celtic from scoring for much of the first-half, however, Rogic changed the dynamic of the game in the 39th minute when he produced one of his trademark moments of magic and dribbled through the Kilmarnock defence inside the box before cutting the ball back for Forrest to score.

Speaking to the media following the match, Forrest said: “For the size of him he has great feet. He’s a player you want to have in your team and he’s great to play with because he finds space and slips balls in and looks to do one-twos.

“He has great feet and he was tremendous for the goal. I think that’s what we needed, a wee bit of life and creativity and he definitely brings that.”

Calum McGregor doubled Celtic’s lead three minutes from the end thanks to a pass from Rogic.

The Australian picked up the ball 40 yards from goal and began dribbling towards goal before slipping a perfectly weighted through pass to McGregor inside the box who then calmly placed it past the keeper and into the bottom left.

Rogic’s attacking prowess was reminiscent of his UEFA Champions League play-off first-leg performance against Astana in midweek. In that game he opened the scoring in the after weaving through the Astana defence, before floating the ball over the keeper from a tight angle.

Celtic now travel to Astana with a 5-0 lead for the second leg of their crucial UEFA Champions League qualifier and Forrest was adamant that Celtic are not looking beyond the Kazakhstan side just yet.

“We just can’t get complacent, we need to make sure we start the game well and start positive and hopefully get a positive result," he added.

Midfielder Tom Rogic was involved in both, creating them with a combination of deft skill and shrewd vision.

First, he ghosted into the Kilmarnock penalty area, skipping past tackles, before slipping the ball back for Forrest to side-foot into the net.

Then he released McGregor with a deft shuffle and pass and the midfielder calmly finished beyond goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald.

"He's a special player who can make the difference," Rodgers said of Rogic.

"He's got that languid style. He's a big lad, 6ft 2in, and his feet size must be 13 - but the ability he has with the ball is incredible.

"He's got great awareness, he lets the ball come to him. The only player I worked with [like] that before is Adam Lallana, who knows where space is and can turn possession into a penetrating moment.

"He can take the ball under pressure, can create goals and score goals. He's a joy to work with."
