    It is indeed. The thing I like best about Rodgers and Rogic this season is when Brendan came in, he had no intention of a number 10, it was all about 433.

    He told Rogic to prove he was commited to the club and he'd get his chance, he signed a new deal, started the game on the same day (or the next day?) scored a couple of goals and Brendan changed up his shape to get him in there.

    CELTIC star Tom Rogic is facing a hectic summer of football after Australia boss Ange Postecoglou revealed he’s set to be a big part of his plans.

    The Socceroos midfielder was out for almost four months with an ankle injury and only made his comeback last week.


    Aussie boss Postecoglou previously admitted he had doubts whether he would be able to include Rogic in his squad for their packed summer schedule.

    But he’s now revealed he sees the midfielder as part of his plans for his squad and Rogic can forget about any down time in the close season.

    Australia face a key World Cup qualifier against Saudi Arabia, followed by a friendly against Brazil, then three Confederation Cup games against Germany, Chile and Cameroon.

    There may even be more games if they reach the Final of the tournament in Russia.

    With Celtic due to face a 2nd round Champions League qualifier as early as July 11, it means Rogic will play throughout the summer.


    Postecoglou said: “We’ve got guys like Tom Rogic for the squad and there is a whole host of them who will be probably looking on saying, ‘June is a pretty big month I wouldn’t mind being part of that.’

    “That is exactly the sort of environment I’ve always wanted to create and hopefully we’ve got 30 to 40 guys putting their hand up for that important month of June and we have some real decisions to make.”

    110 minutes of football since December.

    Still looking a little rusty too. Notice a clamour for him to start on Sunday.

    I think it's still a little too soon and I worry the game will pass him by. Don't get me wrong, love the guy and if he's on form it's a no-brainer to start him. I'm maybe in the minority that wouldn't mind seeing McGregor start but still want to see Tam to feature at some point.

    Was going to say this.

    When he first got injured it was said he'd probably be back in time to play for Oz, so it's not as bad as it sounds. Would be worse if he had played 60 games for us this season right through. Would be near impossible for him then.

    Very true. Sign of a good manager that. One of Ronny's biggest faults was that 4-2-3-1 and trying to progress with central midfielders out wide.

    You should always use a system that suits your better players.

    Rogic has shown in the past to be a bit of a slow burner on his returns from injuries. Flashes of him were there but will need some more time to get up to speed.

    If he keeps improving and stays for a good few years he could leave as a cult hero player in the mould of Naka, Izzy, etc. Most fans just love him.
