Many of us older heids were lucky enough to see many great players in the early 60s,most of the younger ones born after 1975 often say they'd have loved to see him, what other Celtic players would you have loved to have seen if you had the chance?

Loved to have seen who? And my pick would be Murdoch, even watching old videos of him the guy had everything.

Oddly enough, having been lucky enough to see McStay, Collins, Tom Boyd, Van Hooijdonk (admittedly this last one only from a hill in a park overlooking Firhill :52:), Larsson, Sutton, Hartson, Lubo, Bobo, Berkovic (yes, a *; but also a very gifted player) and a few others in the flesh, I most regret never seeing Nakamura and Boruc.

Strangely, of Celtic Greats who were with us before I became a Celtic fan, I don't really regret any except big Roy Aitken, because I didn't miss seeing him by much.

Was anycunt alive when Jimmy Mgrory, was banging them in? He has scored more goals than he has played games for Celtic an absolute goal machine.

Jimmy Johnstone. Sit in the bowling club every 2nd weekend surrounded by my Granda & his pals and he comes up in conversation all the time.

Usual patter of: "he could nutmeg a mermaid" "You couldny get a beachball off him in a phonebox" etc. etc.

That said, my Granda's favourite player was Neil Mochan, so I'd like to have seen him.

John Thompson, or any goalkeeper pre-modern football really.

Must have been some task with those balls and nae gloves, not to mention the lack of protection from referees back in those days.

Jimmy McGrory for much the same reasons. Scoring so many goals so regularly with the equipment and the conditions of the day.

Got to be Jinky. It's all about players that can beat a man, or ten.

We can change the question for your benefit Marie.

With all the technological advances in the last century, if you pick one game that you listened to on the gramophone that you could have watched on TV, what would it be?

    Thank you Seán :56:

Oh, that would have been our very first game, a friendly that we won 5-2 against der Hun.

Unfortunately it was my turn to use the wash hoose that day and I had trouble getting the fire going under the boiler and the wringer was buggered as well so ......I missed it.:54:

In all seriousness though, the Lisbon Lions, although I seen some if not most of them , I can't remember it unfortunately ....so the Lisbon Lions.
