This week's WWE SmackDown, featuring an advertised Shane McMahon announcement, Jerry Lawler hosting a "King's Court" segment plus Becky Lynch vs. SmackDown Women's Champion Alexa Bliss in a steel cage main event, drew 2.652 million viewers. This is up from last week's 2.533 million viewers.

After today hearing Kenny Omega's interview with Meltzer and Alvarez I'm totally convinced he's staying at NJPW, sounds to me he has a lot of unfinished business that he wants to take care of. I'd be happy with that.

WWE one day, just not now.

Kait8.com is reporting that WWE Champion AJ Styles was the victim of theft last Monday night during a WWE live event.

According to the Arkansas State University police, Styles claimed a black bag had been stolen at the campus Convocation Center Monday night. The incident is currently under investigation.

AJ claimed the bag had $1,000 in American currency and $7,000 in yen in it.

An iPhone, Beats headphones, a small screen TV, an Xbox 360 and six games were also stolen.

Omega keeping everything under suspense, which is quite exciting. If he's in the rumble awesome if not its fine he's doing a great enough job in Japan so it's all good either way.

Recently announced as the headlining attraction for the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony during WrestleMania weekend, Kurt Angle will not be fulfilling previously scheduled bookings overseas this weekend, fueling minor speculation that he could make a surprise appearance for WWE during Royal Rumble weekend.

Angle said on ESPN last week that he was focused on the Hall of Fame only, but that he hoped to wrestle for WWE again one day.

Tonight's WWE RAW will take place from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio with the final hype for the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Tonight's RAW will feature appearances by Brock Lesnar, Bill Goldberg and others. No matches have been announced but WWE is focusing on the following points for tonight:

    * Is Goldberg primed to win the Royal Rumble Match?

    * Will more Royal Rumble Match participants be revealed?

    * How will Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn attain retribution?

    * What’s going through Alicia Fox’s mind?

    * Can Bayley’s poetic prophecy come true?

    statement from 5 Star Wrestling:

At 16:04 today I received a call from Kurt Angle's management team confirming the rumours that Kurt will not be commentating on the debut episode of Dominant Wrestling, which airs live on Spike TV at 8pm this Saturday, from the Dundee Ice Arena.
It's a shame but we would like to congratulate Kurt on his Hall of Fame appointment.

Losing a star as respected as Kurt is obviously a blow to us but fortunately he was booked as a commentator rather than a wrestler so it's not like this will make much of a difference to this historic event.

Fans at the Dundee Ice Arena and indeed around the UK, will still get to witness John Morrison issuing an open challenge for his 5 Star Championship and with megastars such as Rey Mysterio, Drew Galloway, Carlito, PJ Black, Nick Aldis and Moose on the show, anything can happen.

Greg Lambert, with his encyclopaedic knowledge of wrestling will still lead the broadcast team as planned.

Earlier today, German wrestling promotion, Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw), released a statement that Tyler Bate, Trent Seven, and Pete Dunn have all been pulled rom their show this weekend. All three were scheduled to wrestle in the upcoming event.

Below is the full statement from Westside Xtreme Wrestling:

"We received information that Tyler Bate, Trent Seven and Pete Dunne are unable to compete for wXw in London on January 28th due to WWE-commitments.
In cooperation with Progress our Championship Board of Directors has named the London Riots as #1 contenders for the wXw World Tag Team Championship. A4 vs. London Riots takes place this Saturday at The Dome, Tufnell Park.

Jody Fleisch will now face Travis Banks. This match is not a qualifier for this year's 16 Carat Gold Tournament.

We have received numerous inquires regarding the future situation of the three wrestlers in question. We have contacted WWE about this matter and are currently waiting on their response. Once we have received further news, we are going to update you on this subject."
