You dont need to do absolutely nothing om your rest days, but if you're in the gym 7 days a week, cut it down to 5 and habe at least 2 rest days spread out ever the week.

Muscles need to rest and repair themselves, that's how they grow bigger and stronger once they've been battered basically.

Can easily put away a box in a sitting of those bad boys.

@ChrisMoh aye you need a couple of days off especially if you are lifting heavy.

It’s taxing on your central nervous system and as @Mr. Slippyfist says it allows your muscles to repair and grow.

What i used to do on some rest days was barbell forms just taking an empty barbell and going through a range of motions/excercises with no weights and stretching.

Not been doing much lately, had a bit of a thigh strain from 11s the other week.
Ran about 5 miles on Friday night and done a few lengths at swimming with the girls on Saturday.
Hungover Sunday but managed a few burpees and some abs stuff then same again last night, had planned to go running last night but was too lazy and pied it.
Going to training for a new team tomorrow and don't wanna risk my thigh is my excuse.

Was just gonna patch 11s as it takes up too much time/effort/money and keep getting injured into the bargain, but played both days this weekend and went pretty well so gonna give it one last bash. Dunno when I'll find time to do weights etc but will need to somehow.
Been using that my fitness pal app to track my macros but struggle to get enough protein. Think that powder I had been taking was actually making me ill and skyr yogurt was good but it gives me migraines.
Have been adding extra tuna/chicken/eggs and cheese to main meals and that but is there any sort of snack or anything that can help push it up? Have been eating a lot of cereal bars but they're putting my carb intake through the roof.

Plenty of protein bar recipes online that a straight forward to make it replace the cereal bars

Beef jerky is probably the highest protein snack you can find.

I’m guessing your total protein intake is about 150gs? A pack of Aldi BBQ chicken I have for lunch has 44g of protein per pack.

I’m the opposite I find it difficult keeping my protein intake down.

    Probably between 120-150 most days.
Will try and get a hold of some beef jerky, they have it in Aldi and Lidl but don't seem to have it all the time, and bang some extra chicken in my dinner at night.
