    Depends what you're doing?

If your weight training, keep at a maximum of 4 days a week, and one or two cardio only sessions. At a push.

Definitely need at least one or two days rest, especially after a good leg session.

At 135lbs and 5'9 I'd be giving the cardio a miss.

Lift weights 4/5 times a week.

Google 4/5 day split routines pick one and stick with that for 3 months.

    And eat a calorie surplus.

Edit: depends what you're after I suppose.

Been doing about 10 minutes on the bike prior to each work out but thats all. Taking some whey as well, hoping to gain a fair bit of weight in the next 6-8 months.

Over done it with the caffeine today, I take 600mg daily and came in the house there and had cup of coffee.

Realised it was my 5th coffee of the day on top of the 600mg, honestly feel like my heart is coming out my chest :giggle1:

Well even walking is better than no exercise at all.

    Never experienced headaches myself,

It's something you don't really think about is caffeine till you have too much.

Nice one mate. I'm playing football twice a week at the moment and mixing gym sessions in between. It's my running that I need to keep working on.

Does anyone know any good tips to help with motivation? I used to put in a good shift at the gym at least 4 times a week but the past 6 months or so I've hardly went at all, just haven't felt the desire. Anyone been through something similar?

I didn't go for years up until the last week, so I'm not nearly as experienced with it as others might be. For me personally, the motivation came from being tired of looking at a scronny, skinny frame, coupled with a * summer and some trouble with women. Exercise is a great way to release some of that aggression, so I've loved it so far.

In your case I'd look back at where you were before, and use that to get yourself back into it. You were going strong 4 days a week and for one reason or another stopped. Time to get back on the horse and get a good habit going again.
