Just got a fitbit recently and went for a walk today along the beach and have done 13500 steps!

Really has motivated me so far to get moving more. Apparently 10000 is a good target to aim for everyday. Doesn't help when the weather is * outside though. If the weather is bad I am going to use the exercise bike. Here is hoping I start shedding the pounds!

Find weights so much more enjoyable than cardio (which really bores me). Think I need to ramp up the cardio and cut back on beer to shift the last bit of weight around the middle. Arms, chest and legs are looking good now, I suspect mainly because of my good diet.

Did a 'sweatbox' circuit session this morning at the gym. Working in pairs. 3 laps running around the hall while your partner does a particular exercise. 12 different exercises in total. Exercises were all bodyweight stuff such as planks, side planks, frog jumps, lunges, press ups, bear crawls, sprinters, t presses etc. * now.

Giving it laldy on the exercise bike at the moment while browsing the forum. Don't feel like I am doing any exercise. Watching the tv or on been on your phone takes your mind of the fact you are actually doing exercise.

Ended up doing 10km there. Definitely going to aim for getting on the bike twice a day. Doing 30mins each time. Then will build up to an hour twice a day.

Have any of you ever had dry needle done on a muscle?

Had it done on my hamstring last year and it worked wonders. Both hamstrings bothering me the last few weeks so tempted to get it again on both, but * me it's an uncomfortable experience.

Have you tried stretching often, for at least a minute at a time? Or ibuprofen or deep heat?

Have tried them all yeah with some success, just seems to be something that I'm going to have niggling at me at some point every season.

I probably need to be more consistent with stretching and do it constantly rather than just when I'm feeling tight.

Downloaded the Men'sHealth Primal 9 app last week. Have been going to the gym 4 times a week for the past 2 months & whilst I've noticed a change in my body, I'd expect more for the amount of time I spend in the gym, plus the fact I've cut all the * out my diet. The change I've noticed since using the App though has been frightening. Its basically a 9 week training programme with excercises & meal plans. I thought I was in relatively good shape, until I tried the work-outs. Unbelievable. App is initially free & gives a bit of a teaser, but costs £48 for the full 9 week programme. Well worth it IMO considering some personal trainers charge £20/£30 per hour..
