This was bat out of * 2, i have the picture disc , just the same as the album cover
Ah good thread.
Just bought a new turntable a month ago, nothing special
but linked it up to a sound bar and it gives out a pretty good sound.
Still have all my old vinyl and still on the lookout for any old gems at the local record fairs.
Don't think I've ever seen or heard 1210's play anything other than techno haha
Bought 3 new albums yesterday. Two of them are re-issues, but I don't care too much about that.
Bought these yesterday at their show in Groningen. Fantastic band and now have four albums which are all brilliant.
Almost spent £500+ on an Ozzy Osbourne box set...cancelled my pre-order the next morning when I was sober
Have an album signed by Runrig, also have a signed 7" by Amy MacDonald, bought it before she had really taken off I think, loads of picture discs of Motley Crue and Alice Cooper and a slowly expanding collection of rock LPs. It's not cheap at all, even used records most the time cost more than a new CD (when CDs where the go to media) and used can be a lottery. The charity shops seem to be full of Bach and Beethoven rather than Aerosmith or Gun n' Roses.
CDs will also make a comeback like viny. When they (record companies) announce the drop off In production the guys in their late 20s or 30s will make sure they are still a thing. Crazy to think that CDs are vintage/retro for a lot of teenagers.
I've just got all my vinyl from the loft about 700 albums all pre-1984. You may not hear from me for some time....
Enjoy. You’ll end up lost for about 5/6 hours.
Hope so I have some nice rare albums, special editions and I picked up the Johnny Cash Colombia box set, its already going for over £200, I think a few albums only made it to CD for that box. Of course it's worth is only for bragging rights as I would never want to sell something like that.
I've got a decent wee collection, about 50 vinyls, mostly The Beatles, John Lennon, a few Frank Zappa, Bob Dylan's Nashville Skyline, Lou Reed's Transformer, Station to Station by Bowie...
Just purchased Burnt Weeny Sandwich By Zappa and The Mothers for only £9.99
That’s what us collectors do. I collect everything ffs. I’m actually getting into the mind set of “do i need this? When have I last used this?”
Im tempted to pick up the GnR locked n loaded set now that the price has dropped a little. Also keep adding the Ozzy vinyl box back into the shopping cart then bailing at the last minute
Don’t do it. You’ll be funding Sharons next face lift.
Just ordered it again, couldn't help myself.
Just heard his new song, new album coming out that should be decent compared to his last 2 and got a date for rescheduled tickets I've been holding.
I gave up getting a bday present so the Mrs could get a weekend in Glasgow to see Still Game so I am feeling no buyers remorse this time .
Well I cancelled it after that last post.
Then had a few beers the other night and got the wifes approval to roder it again so am leaving it this time.
