Thought he was going to Liverpool.

That’s some bit of business for Napoli.

4 clubs have agreed a fee for him, one being Napoli.

Not by any means done yet.

Feel like it’s China or staying at Madrid who clearly don’t want him.

Just don’t see any club in Europe really wanting him. Injury prone, would cost a fair amount, massive wages and he’s now 30.

He’s earning 600k a week just now playing for an elite club. He’d earn not much less playing for another elite club in Europe.

He’s choosing to curtail his career at the top for money. That’ll be his legacy. He’s a poorly advised idiot.

To be fair, unless he's absolutely desperate to win the EPL, Bundesliga or Serie A then there's no reason to stop him going there. I think he'll end up back in England after this and still pick up a hefty wage till he retire's.

Well, aye, being absolute desperate to win things does tend to be what most footballers want.

    Footballers with a Champions mindset.

He’ll go to China for a year, make an easy £40m-£50m, then head to England next season I reckon.

Bale's already semi-retired. He happpened to win some CL's as an average performer for Madrid. He wasn't even Wales best player in the Euros. From his team mates comments he does the bare minimum yet has the gall to demand he is started after 15 minutes of a CL where he scored some great goals. I can understand why Zidane would take a dislike to him.
He comes across as lazy, a bit thick and definitely spoilt. Like you say - his agent has no doubt led him up the garden path.

Being a winner of a trophy doesn't make you the reason for it happening.
Ex-Hun goalkeeper Charbonnier has a World Cup winners medal. Nuff said.

So that’s how a players career should go? Win some trophies then * of to a footballing backwater for money at what should be your peak?

Amazing to watch someone's head inflate at such an exponential rate over the last few years. Gareth Bale is an *.
