    One of the most bizarre transfers I can think of, Jonny * Evans? £18M rejected by West Brom for a 29 year old, mental. They want £25M apparently plus Delph.

    Some of their reactions/comments are hilarious. Would be similar if we were interested in someone like Steven Anderson (St Johnstone) I would guess.

    Ok I'm a bit late of the Paulinho party but people shouldn't judge him on his time at Spurs, honestly the EPL isn't the be all and end all, a lot of top players have flopped there and still did great things elsewhere. Look at Diego Forlan, Veron and guys like that. As Fawlty said he's done brilliantly in China and has been a key part of the Brasil national team for a while now.

    Looks like Spurs are closing in on young Ajax Centre-back Davinson Sanchez who's a very exciting prospect. It's about time they did something this window and I think this guy would be a solid addition. Most likely starting out as a backup to the Belgian centre back pairing Spurs currently use, Sanchez could also play in a back three which Pochettino opted for a lot in the second half of last season.

    It doesn't matter how good he is in China or his renaissance for Brazil, he isn't a 40 million euro footballer.

    There's underlying currents in that deal, undoubtedly. Whether they're overthinking it and are just looking for a Casemiro clone or the President is making money off the back of it as is rumoured.
