That's two matches in a row that Federer has taken an MTO before the final set. Serious gamesmanship. Not great to see.

    Worked for him, though!

Well done Federer, can't say I'm not a little heartbroken though. Hope Nadal wins the French.

On this form Nadal wouldn't be beaten at the French so hopefully he can keep it up.

Wimbledon has the potential to be mental this year!

That Depeche Mode when we score!!
Well done Federer,he deserved this win and yes in my view he is now the Greatest of all time, because to win at 35 at this level really is Unreal!
I remember watching Nadal beat him here in the final back in 2009,i was a Fanatic Nadal fan at the time, shouting and screaming at the Telly. This time though still a massive Nadal fan i also watched the match as a total fan of this great Sport, and better player on the day won.
As for the rest of the season,i think we are in for an amazing collection of treats, its going to be amazing!!!

Pat Cash calling it ' Legalised Cheating ". Mind you at 35 and 174 days (and six months out through injury) Federer probably needed it. Got to hand it to the Fed though, he still has that reliable serve and causes huge problems for his opponents when their serving.

Tremendous achievement. So so unfair and soooooo wrong to label him as a server! Yes he has a fantastic serve, but you know, im sure thats actually a part of the game!!! However, he is so much more....a complete artist of the sport, he can do it all, and even at such an age, after so long away from the winners place on the podium, he still had the bottle to win against probably the greatest fighter in the game.......nothing you can say, the arguments are over.

You'd have to say so, specifically considering his own circumstances; 35, back from injury, completely written off etc etc etc...

Find it ridiculous that people are claiming this win cements him at the GOAT, he's been the GOAT for a while.

Yeah it's a great story, credit also to Rafa, i never thought he'd get back to that kind of level again, it just shows how incredible these guys are. To still have that hunger after winning everything there is to win, i guess that's what makes them the great champions they are.

I think most people agree with that, but a few of us have had to endure a debate in here over the last few years as to whether he is or isnt....and this sort of ends it i think.

Just as an afterthought, has anyone ever had such a time span between their first and last majors? 14 years, in a sport like tennis!!! Thats phenomenal, however you look at it.
