The best solution would be to drink in town then go in and maybe have one or two.

Personally I'm not fussed about the support acts ahead aside from Primal Scream who I believe aren't on until after 7pm, so I might not turn up until early evening.

Aye they have ripped the * out of it with support acts. As much as I really like The View and Primal Scream (not fussed about Jake Bugg) it is a joke that anyone who wants to be anywhere near the front will have to get there for 4pm and cant have a drink with them.

Ideally they would have opened it at 7pm and just had Primal Scream and The Roses.

Anything to squeeze more money out of folk as ever.

if you time it right you wont need to buy drink in the place.in dublin last year i got merrily drunk during the day and made the near the front of the stage 15 minutes before they came on,superb show, and the mega walk from the centre of dublin sobered me up a wee bit anaw, wont even bother if i dont see primal scream-seen em in their prime a few times-the other two supports sook sweaty bawbags imo

Ticketmaster released more tickets for this. They might be gone by now though. Had the chance of buying one there but decided against it. I like them but wouldn't pay £60 to see them

I'm not sure on the old wellie front yet to be honest. My friends girlfriend is going and doesn't drink so is driving - her car could end up being a right mess.

Are wellies gonna be essential or would a scruffy old pair of trainers suffice?

    Let the people sing,
Perhaps not completely essential, i'm not really expecting it to be proper deep muddy like actual festivals can be - so old trainers will probably be fine, but they and the bottom of your trousers will get wrecked.

I'm wearing wellies purely to keep my feet/ankles/leg totally dry, i hate when the bottom of your trousers get muddy and they pure stick to your leg.

Heavy rain is predicted too though remember.

Old pair of Rockports, several pairs of socks and an old pair of jeans will make up my bottom half. Worked well at Heaton Park :50:
