Instead of hitting it first time I think he was gonna a try and take it around the keeper and then lost control of the ball..

He 100% * it big time..

Would've made it an interesting last 5 minute's..

How the * do people like Mulgrew still get picked for international matches? Surely Scotland need to just play the youths for a few years and hope they can qualify in 2036. Already out of whatever group this is.

Celtic players are also woeful for Scotland.

weve got some decent players but we need that scottish cheek, guile and arrogance we had back in the 60s and 70s

theres a helluva lot changed in football over the years, its went all scientific, a massive amount of investment in how to play the game has went on in europe, the italians dutch spanish have all made huge changes to how football is played to win, and it has proved massively successful to them

we have went backwards since the game went all professional and that has got to be addressed eventually or we will never get to another tournament, we keep falling down the rankings and the teams down there are improving their lot and are starting to surpass us its actually quite frightening the way scottish football cant identify its own failings

No that I'm the slightest bit bothered, but with donkeys like McKenna, McLean, O'Donnell & Burke in the team you are always going to struggle. Steve Clarke has taken over a poisoned chalice. It could be Pep Guardiola in charge and it would make very little difference. The group of players available are just no good enough.

"Celtic player's are also woeful for Scotland"

I'm gonna say it....you are one insufferable, clueless bawbag. Have you forgotten when it was the Celtic player's being the only shining light for Strachan no too long ago? Or big Jake?

You get that by confidence. He's only been in for what, a week with the squad. That swagger will only come when he get's a regular 11 that all trust each other and the manager..

I saw slight encouragement tonight in a 3 nil loss than I did beating Cyprus..

We've a chance to go through the nation's league route and for me it's all about gearing up to that..

    An 11 like this

    Marshall/Bain

    Fredricks
    Mawson
    Findlay
    Robertson/KT

    McTominay
    McGregor
    Christie

    Forrest
    Adams/Griff
    Fraser

Something like that is quite decent..

McTominay McGregor and Christie should be the midfield 3 when they’re fit.

    Forrest/Fraser out wide.

Can't believe what I read here sometimes!

We were up against the best team in the world. We watched the gulf in the Champions League with us losing 5,6,7 goals recently!

Mulgrew is easily the best footballer we have as an option to play at the back. Name a better option???

O'Donnell had a decent match there! He was up against world class players! Taylor did very well also.

If we're being honest, McGregor was one of our worst performers tonight along with Russell.

Huge plus is the quality of Ryan Fraser for me. He is a great talent. Was surprised we got a few opportunities in the match and feeling much more positive than a few months back.

    Should have kept Strachan anyway!

Thought mclean was decent tonight, very composed on the ball. That midfield 3 that finished the game could work out pretty well.

Overall a bit of encouragement in that game, played pretty well despite being well beaten.

He surprised me. Didn’t think he was capable of playing the way he was.

Same with me, I was fuming when he started but fair play to him, he takes the ball in some very tight areas and more often than not keeps hold of it.

Premiership football should help improve him further. Him, mctominay and calmac have the makings of a decent midfield. Leaving mcginn, Armstrong, Cairney to come in if required. Very strong in that area.

I'm English like you - yet you're an Englishman who supports Scotland lol. i'm the clueless one lEl. Celtic players are largely woeful for both Scotland and in Europe, it's not a myth, take off whatever specs you have on.

Entire Scottish set up needs wiped and restarted ala England, Germany, Holland, France. I like Clarke but he's got numpties both above and below so he'll also fail like Strachan and McCleish and all the rest.

Let's face it, on paper this team who started today would struggle to Aberdeen in the Cup, nevermind a world cup semifinalist
