Cheers lads, kind of want a more realistic racer as I've had too many arcade ones recently. Project Cars it is. :50: Plus the fact it has so many tracks that feature in the BTCC wins it for me.

Try gtplanet.net, it's a Gran Turismo forum but also has other games on it, there's always tuning set ups on it

Stil loving it, ao much so, I've not even started fallout yet. absolute class game. My newest gripe though is the AI don't seem to be affected by driving on grass, grit, or on the rain with dry tires. Cheating * just plow on through it.

I've seen them go off a few times when hitting the grass and gravel. I've noticed them plow through the rain on slicks though in some races and the opposite when you start in rain and the track dries out they drive on for a few laps on the wets or intermediates while your tyres start overheating almost immediately.

Started a race last night, on the 2nd race where you need to pit. Started first, but it started pishing down on 6-7th lap and I span out a ridiculous amount of times.
Sooo, restarted it in a fit of rage. This time when it hit the 6th lap I came in for the wet tyres. * got disqualified (after finishing 1st) because I didn't pit exactly when they told me to.
I need to drive 1, potentially 2 laps in the rain, sliding all over the place before I'm allowed to change tyres ? Can't change when it suits :smiley-laughing002:

Disqualified? as far as I know you can take the mandatory pitstop on any lap bar the end of first and last. Might have been a glitch.

Yep, was disqualified on 14th lap. Ridiculous, because I knew the rain was coming, and it's impossible to drive in it with wrong tyres (not for the computer, clearly  ) so I changed early.
Naaaah. You have to struggle like * for 2 wet laps, before they tell you to come in.

Ah no you can come in before the mandatory stop to change tyres but you still have to make a mandatory stop within the stop window when it opens. I.e. You have to make 2 stops

Two stops ? That's impossible to win with a two stop strategy, for me anyway :smiley-laughing002:
    Great game. Bad AI.

If you use manual gears like I do you can minimise the sliding by coming out of corners in a higher gear, also if you find yourself sliding on straighter sections switch up a gear.

The thought of using manual gears gives me the fear. I'm miles away from that. Actually lowered the AI . Mainly due to them and the weather/off roading.

I thought the same when I started using manual gears on Gran Turismo 5 but after a day or so it starts to become second nature. I use the right analogue stick for gears and it's pretty intuitive. It's a big game changer.

Simulation type racing games coming out this year:

Gran Turismo Sport - Playstation 4.

Assetto Corsa - Playstation 4, Xbox One.

Dirt Rally - Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC (Physical disc version).

    F1 2016 - Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC.

Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo - Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC.

Valentino Rossi: The Game - Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC. (this is basically MotoGP 2016)

I assume there will also be a WRC 6 this year although it hasn't been officially confirmed.

Just downloading the demo of Sebastien Loeb on the PS Store, had no idea until now there was one.

Played the demo on PS4. I thought it was *. Unresponsive controls. I rather ply the WRC game. Hope Dirt Rally will be good, cause the Dirt games had excellent controls.
