While I agree with you that Dublin should not be playing 2 of 3 Quarter-Final group games at Croke Park the idea that Dublin have anything to prove in terms of them being the best team in the country is laughable. Wining 5 of the last 7 All Ireland Championships and 5 of the last 6 National league titles settles that in more then convincing fashion.

All the more reason Dublin should lobby to have their neutral game played in a totally neutral venue. It's a more impressive cv when you have to travel to Clones to play Donegal and meet Tyrone in Omagh on the way to winning an all Ireland.

Until this year Ulster teams played a maximum of one home game(50% chance) in the all Ireland series.

Not really no. It is not Dublin's job to do any lobbying. As I said I agree with you they should be only playing 1 game at Croke Park in the group stages of the Quarter-Finals. But they have nothing to prove in terms of being the best team in the country. They are and by some distance. The only thing this Dublin generation have left to prove is are they the greatest team of all time and if they were to win a 6th All Ireland title in 8 years this year as well as their 5 National League titles in the last 6 years then they will have a very strong argument to say they are the greatest team of all time.

If you haven't traveled to play any of the other contenders then you do have something to prove. Next Saturdey will be the first time in many, many years that Dublin have had to travel to meet credible opposition in the championship.

Barcelona winning the CL 5 years in a row playing one off matches at the knockout stages only at camp nou would be a good achievement. They would need a good team however it could always be questioned how they would perform if they had to travel. That Dublin team might well have won those all Irelands playing in Cork however we will never know this for a fact.

Rather than dispel these doubts Dublin have dragged out ex players to defend playing 2 games at Croke Park and claim that the have not had any home games.

For the record I believe that this Dublin team are the best in the country at the moment and unfortunately I have to hope they beat Tyrone on Saturday

The GAA are quite rightly getting dogs abuse about the Liam Miller charity match.

Just back from Croker, another cracking game.. my only gripe is the extra time, the players were absolutely dead on their feet and who can blame them... 15 minutes in the dressing room before extra time is too much..
