Watched about 15 minutes, will go back to it another time. Some of it was interesting some a bit contrived imo.

Agreed about the "man up" aspect and "don't cry" but the toy thing is never going to change and neither should it.

What makes you think the toy thing won't change?

No-one, but as it's in this thread, I felt it was relevant to mention.

I've watched the full thing now. I'd say this statement is the exact opposite of the truth.

Don't agree with the other statement about it being contrived either. All men should watch it, rather than being wilfully ignorant.

I’ll give it a watch later but that’s my personal opinion.

That's fair enough, but studies have shown that our entire culture is geared towards men being conditioned into rejecting any notion of femininity.

What sort of ‘femininity’ does this mean? Like playing with dolls etc.?

Why does it bother you of another man wants to wear a thong or heels. Nobody's forcing you to do the same so why does it bother you?

Has no-one ever tucked it in for a laugh, plus there are gays everywhere alot of who had a hard time because of societys expectations of masculinity. I think alot of people use the 'gone too far' arguments and got to think about the big picture. I was raised like everyone else, the best advice i got was to use violence to protect yourself and it worked but there are aspects such as suicide which can be improved if men were able to discuss thier problems more openly without worrying about masculinity.

No, it's got nothing to do with playing with dolls. It's more geared towards having emotional intelligence, empathy and being able to communicate your worries, just as three quick examples that men are largely awful at.

Yeah, that’s fair. I completely agree with the need to alter the mindset that mental health problems = weak, for example. :50:

Totally agree with you. The documentary talks a lot about how boys and men are always told to 'man up' or not to cry and so on. There's clear evidence that it only causes problems. There's too much information in the documentary for me to remember and type out here, but it's such an insightful watch, in my opinion.

There's a lot of young guys in the documentary talking about their own experiences, with problems related to conforming to masculine stereotypes, and I think most guys could relate to things they've went through.

He spent a night of pleasure in the company of a cross dresser. And now he feels guilty that he liked it a lot.
