Loyalty wouldn't be the word I would use. He has just left after only a few years of being a first team regular when the first serious bid come in for him.

This sale has plusses and negatives. The negative of course is losing a player who was really good, it shows we will struggle to keep top level players (but most teams do). The plus is that it shows progression in getting good value on transfers. We got £20m one season and £25m the next. Your years we we would be lucky to get that by selling half our first xi. I think amounts will stay fairly sturdy but we have assets like Eddy, Ajer, McGregor and Christie.
Seeing players in our squad do well for themselves, 2 in last years Champions league final, 1 chased by man United, 1 getting 3rd place at the World Cup and another join Arsenal will mean quality players will see us as a place to build a name for themselves. Agents won't be against players joining us. Teams will not be afraid to buy from us.

I doubt that was the first serious bid we had for him. It's also a pretty serious bid from a big club so it's a very difficult situation for him.

And in fairness hes achieved a lot since coming into the team. 4 seasons of success.

It's not 20 seasons, no, but hes still contributed a lot.

Still wouldn't say he has shown loyalty to the club. The time he was here he was outstanding for us, no doubt about it, leaving at the age of 22 after 170 appearances isn't what I would regard as being loyal to the club however.

I think loyalty is shown where he ran his body to *, playing 168 competitive games in 4 seasons where he was rarely subbed. Some would have taken it easy but he put all his efforts in.

I dont see him as being massively loyal either. But I do feel many of the comments against him are a disgrace from people who like to call themselves the best fans in the world.

And I dont mean just on here. Twitter, Facebook etc are an embarrassment.

I wouldn't expect anything less from someone playing for us.

Since he left I've not really read too much about it in all honesty. The way I see it, if he goes down and does well for Arsenal so be it, if he goes and flops so be it. I won't be bothered either way. The only time I will be genuinely bothered about him is if he pulls on the green and white again in the future.

I personally hope he does well.

End of the day hes an academy graduate, young Scottish player. I like to see anyone like that do well never mind one who played for us.

But I know where you're coming from.

It's not bitterness from me buddy, it's the hero worship for a guy who bailled out after less than 200 games and 4 years.

What's embarrassing is folk thinking he deserves less a ribbing than other football mercenarys.

I feel sorry for him as he has fallen foul of our 10 in a row obsession. Most years he left no big deal, but anything that compromises this we are, and I include myself, getting a tad mental.

He's gone, good luck...but at the same time, go * yerself KT.

I don't think Lenny will see any or if at all, it'll be very little. The board are very shrude business men and they all know Brexit is coming so better stock pile see cash now before the unknown happens. There will be another recession coming soon for the UK and Ireland and Celtic will get bad I suspect.

    * calling all sorts for wanting to play against the best.

It’s no hard to see the bitterness from a number of folk.

I've let my own go. I was * disgusted at him when he went but now I do realize he's just a kid and an offer like that in today's world, it's hard not to take it. If all goes to plan, he's not only secured his own life along with his kids future but his grandkids also.
