    Mentioned it in his thread..

In the modern era, our best talent has generally been picked up by middling EPL or European sides. Forster, Van Dijk, Wanyama and Armstrong all going to Southampton, McGeady to Spartak..
Dembele is the obvious exception to that.

With KT to Arsenal, it really does set a new precedent for us. A homegrown talent, going straight to a top EPL side. There's no two ways about it, Arsenal is a huge club..

Although, it's a obvious hammer blow KT leaving, suddenly our status as a club for young, exciting talent to develop and eventually move on, has went to a entirely different level..

Sorry bud, but the idea of selling the youth we bring through to make it to the "big clubs" in the soulless EPL is not something that equates to success for me. A business plan maybe, but as a fan like we all are, this depressed me just reading it.

I find completely odious actually, but I,m sure Pistol Pete will be moist at the thought of it and foaming from his shuck.

I pray night and day to all that is powerful, please make that * league collapse and destroy itself from within.

Yes but I was pointing out that it’s been happening for a long time and isn’t some new phenomenon in “the modern era”.

It really hasn’t. Getting 25 million for an Academy product ushers in a new era at Celtic.

Aiden, Wanyama and now KT are all watershed moments in terms of outgoing transfers.

Well, that's the reality. We develop a player, and eventually move them on. A James Forrest or a Scott Brown is a * rarity..

The thing is, now with a precedent set by the Dembele and KT transfers, we can now demand a substantially higher fee for our talent..

It's nothing to do with our plan, it's the over inflated fees and money splurging about down there.

We will get whatever they can be arsed paying and we will lube up, bend over and let them * us while fans celebrate transfer fees (which doesn't get invested back) like trophies.

    Sad times.

To be fair if Arsenal wanted Forrest or Brown they would be away as well

Him going isn’t really the issue anymore, it’s how much of the fee Lenny gets to strengthen the team on the park? You know the actual thing that keeps the business side of things going.

Well, with 20m+ coming in, and a month left of the window. The board have no * excuse..
Hopefully for once, they do deliver and back Lenny with the necessary funds to strengthen key positions.

Lenny has already said tonight that if the KT deal goes through, he will be expecting money to spend on players.

Wouldn't be a good move for PL to * him over on this.

Only way it benefits us and only way we get more talent to sell for higher fees in the future is investing the money wisely not putting it in the bank

Although I'm sad to see KT leave, that money better be handed over to Neil (at least £20m) for a new LB, RB, CB and maybe another LW if Scott leaves.

Honestly, if the board mess around with this (again, think McGinn) then questions need to be asked.

    There's no excuses now..

Think it's clear we've been relying on this deal getting done sooner before spending much more in the market..

Now KT, Sinclair and possibly one or two more fringe player's are offski'd.....we really have to be getting the rest of our business done asap..

Left back in immediately. Get through against Cluj then I'd expect a powerful midfielder, Right back and left winger/10 in at the very least..
