But thats the things, trap loves kilbane for some reason and doesnt seeem to rate ward so will stick with kilbane no doubt.Kilbane always goes on about how he would do anything for ireland etc then why doesnt he do the decent thing and retire to give the young guys a chance because everytime he steps out on to that pitch he is an embarresment to us. He has ruined whatever bit of legacy he had with ireland fans.

I wouldn't say he has yet, but I agree he should do the decent thing and stop overstaying his welcome. He's becoming a * embarrassment. A League 1 player starting for Ireland? * that. Then again, Trap probably doesn't even know that Kilbane's moved to Huddersfield. He knows * all about the players; he even thought that McCarthy was tied to Ireland when HE STILL ISN'T.

Exactly, thats why he never called him up after throwing him on against brazil in the last half hour, thinking he was tied to us. little did he know you actually have to play in a competetive game. He was told about that recently by liam brady and was about to be called back in the squad but james got injured a week before te announcement.

Great run of form from Shane Long. 6 goals in 5 games, ten in the season. :50:

He's got great pace and looks to have become a good finisher. I'd say he's our third best striker. At the moment, I'd play Ireland's strikers in this order:

    Doyle
    Long
Keane (First as soon as he starts playing)
    Walters
    Stokes
    Keogh
    Noel Hunt
    Sammon

He reminds me a little of Scott McDonald when he was good.

Good to see Fahey, Gibson and Wilson starting tonight. Get Whelan to *, he never plays and is worse than Wilson and Delap.

It's happened again. Apparently Meyler's dislocated his knee.

At least Best scored twice tonight.

Nah, I'd rather do a Scotland and play a 4-6-0 than play Murphy. :icon_mrgreen:

He really is just going from strength to strength this season now that he has made the breakthrough into Everton's first team. Should be in the starting lineup next month against Wales you would think the way he is playing.

Long scored against West Brom yesterday. Apparently he's turned down a move to Fulham.
