Rooney should get called up. He was always highly rated at Stoke and he seems to be doing well.Hopefully he might get a move to the championship next year.

As much as I hate to say it can only go down hill for Ireland. In my opinion they havent got half as good a team as they had in say 2002. Theres very little stand out young players coming through especially good strikers. I think Gibson should be playing, he should probably try to get out on loan and get a run of games and if he did it would only benefit Ireland. He looks a good young player which Ireland dont have many of and a run of games and more confidence would do him a world of good. Hopefully we can get to the Euros and do ourselves proud

McCarthy, Meyler, Coleman, Cunningham, Ciaran Clark, McGeady, Gibson, Westwood. I think we have some decent young players for the future, you're right about the strikers though.

Ye we need a young kid to break through like Robbie Keane did. Personally atm Id play Stokes with Doyle.

Duff's not getting a game atm though is he? I think his legs have gone tbh.
    I think Fahey's a pretty good player.

I hate to disrespect the trap but the sooner he retires the better, he is too cautious and stubborn. Hughton next Ireland manager?????

I agree. Get in MON or Hughton from Newcastle. Is that who you meant or did you mean Ray Houghton.

    Well spotted i meant Ex-Newcastle Hughton :31:

I think MON would be a bit too ambitious for us tbh

I thought that about Trap, who's one of the most celebrated managers in history. We've got the money, that's for sure.

If we can't get MON in, then we should go for Hughton. He played for us and I'm sure he would take the job. Pity that it'll be years before Trap retires, and he won't be sacked.

I don't think Martin O'Neill would work well in International Management.

Clark played tonight with Dunne and Ireland :)47:). Wrong end of a 3-0 scoreline, and Clark's picked up a suspension too.

Dunno what's going on with Gibson, seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. He was sick a few weeks ago, any news? He wasn't in the squad against Valencia today. Neither was O'Shea, who seems to be being gradually phased out at Man Utd.
