YouTube is full of instructional videos, so it’s sometimes difficult to know where to start. Also, what might be right for one, might not suit another player.

If I could suggest one, it would be ‘meandmygolf’, these guys are really good and whilst they do a lot of chatting, the points are made in the end :giggle1:

Fwiw, I’m still teetering around the mid 80’s with my rounds after playing all winter, so don’t be too hard on yourself!

    * of a game. Got banned from playing football so started playing golf. I’m now hopelessly addicted. It’s all I think about ffs.
Driving range is a lot of *. Hit every shot perfect then step on to the first tee and fluff it lol
Best way to practice is to play.

I was wanting to try that I'm not wanting to pay for a beta version, think it will be good on the driving range not to sure about a round tho, I'm choking to play carnasty along with troon, and st Andrews, I saw some pics of carnoustie with all the stands and it looked incredible i might pop up for the open

Played a couple of the St Andrew courses last year. Really enjoyed it, promised I’d play again after buying all the gear and haven’t bothered my *.

for anybody that doesn't know Old Prestwick is where in the 1800,s some old boys decided to have a wee gowf competition . at the end of it someone said " what will we give the winner ? " ……… "use this claret jug " one old boy said .

Dearest claret jug in the world now ! Big cairn on the first tee tells the story .

This is why I’d never try it as this is exactly what I’d do. Buying the gear would be more fun than playing the sport for me. :giggle1:

Season ticket yeah, but not a member of a club. Maybe next year will join one to play in some competitions, there’s five clubs here.

Good man. I was a member of the main club when I was younger but didn’t like the cliquey-ness. There are a couple that don’t have a clubhouse and just use the hotel, they are less formal and my mates are members wi them.

The Links Committee has spent/granted millions on a new building beside the 1st tee, has simulators in it, lockers etc etc. Bar and fancy restaurant. So clubs with no home can share that. Should be good.

This is my first club, the guys are all brand new that iv meet I was I bit worried that it would be quite snobby but its far from it it also a full club house with decent facilities.
Aye it sounds excellent I love the sims and stuff like that I'm going to bring it up on the agm see if there is a way to get something sorted like a quad 2 or trackman
