No bother pal! I just crunched the numbers and we've earned at least £5.3mil in the Europa League so far in prize money, not counting the prize money from the CL qualifiers.
Edit: CL qualifier prize money adds about £1mil

 

this is what happens when you have a strong squad and backups for every position

something as a club we have not really had before and is needed if you want to do something in europe other than just make up the numbers

Do we know what what group our group will be drawn against? Or is it just a random draw?

Random draw. We cannot be drawn against the team from the same group again nor against a team from the same country (Sevco).

If we finish first we can be drawn against any second placed team (bar the two above) or the four third placed teams at UCL with the worst campaign. If we finish second, its either the best team of a group or the top four ucl third placed.

I think it is absolutely important finishing first to have a big chance to progress further.

 

Cheers, so we should really be going for the top spot here would give us a magic chance of getting through to the last 16 and avoiding the best 3rd place CL teams and group winners.

must admit I'm enjoying the Europa league more than the champions league, fairer matches but still gives us the opportunity for big scalps

Defo go into Rennes game all guns blazing.

Hopefully they've chucked it as they're out, get a win, Lazio to beat Cluj.

Then away to Cluj totally change the team around, total 11 changes and just see how it goes. Don't need to risk injuries or suspensions.

 

Its alot better games. No backs to the wall boring pish, every teams about similar level, anyone can win and games go end to end. Champions leagues actually became * because the gaps to great until the last 8.

 

One of the teams we could get in the Last 32 draw shouldnt have even been in the competition.
The Belgium team Mechelen were banned from the comp for match fixing in their league so place was given to Gent who are currently top of their group on 8 pts 3 ahead of 2nd place.

 

We cant draw the huns in the Last 32 but can from Last 16 onwards

 

If there is still something riding on the game in terms of second spot would UEFA be OK with this ?

 

None of their business who we choose so long as they are from the registered squad.
