He's skilled enough, no question. It's whether he has the power and strength at the weight. He boxed at super heavy in amateurs though, I think.

I don't know much at all about mandatory fights but it's been a while since Fury's comeback and there's three belts so why is it taking so long to get them together? Plus hasn't Wilder just won or defended a belt, why is he still waiting?

Sounds like one of them is using money to delay the fight. Can understand someone saying they don't want to fight in a certain country if they've had a bad time or if they think they're not the challenger. When would they become mandatory, if ever?

 

Not sure if they would become mandatory to each other because they are both champions, boxing’s only a sport Iv recently got into last few years just for the fights

No, AJ has 3 belts. Wilder has 1. AJ isn't losing respect, everyone knows Wilder is ducking the * out of him. Same with Whyte, Wilder has dodged Whyte for 2 years or so, the WBC have took the * right out Whyte.

So am I right in guessing out of all those potential heavy weights only Fury would be willing to fight AJ?

What are the other guys going to do for competition? Is it the old story of only fighting who they think will be a sure thing? Isn't that how GGG didn't become a true great, because everyone avoided him?

I just wish they'd force these guys together but understand there are others who deserve a go who aren't exactly box office yet, I mean apart from Wilder it's only Brits and surely they're not the best in the world, Whyte can't be. No disrespect to the guy but that would be a damning indictment of the current state of the sport if he was one of the best. I love AJ but even he hasn't fought enough quality to suggest he's one of the best. Fury as far as I know hasn't fought anyone better than AJ has fought, Klitschko I'm thinking?

I really don't understand the confidence of folk who say Fury would school AJ but I accept they are boxing fans like yourself who know their stuff. His contest with Klitschko was very disappointing.

How come all the greats from pre 1980 fought what looked like proper fights with loads of drama? Is that just me seeing the highlights of the best fights and it's always been a case of most fights being cagey affairs cause competition is too close to be adventurous?
