Was qaulity the first game. Then he kicked a blade of grass and was never seen until he was diving in a box, getting a ban and being injured again until leaving.

Actually whats he up to now?

He was a first team player at Ajax and scored against real Madrid in the champions league, he wasn't considered an elite player at Ajax but he should have been a great addition to the team at the time. His injuries and the dive after he came back * his time here.

Sat on his contract here even though we didn't want him and tried for a move to the MLS after we released him, never happened and he hasn't had a club in two years. so retired at 29 most likely, he's 31 now.

Meanwhile, Celtic flop Derk Boerrigter has admitted that he outstayed his welcome at the club as he couldn’t walk away from the money on offer.

The Dutch winger earned £12,000 per week at Celtic, having joined the club from Ajax for £3m in 2013. A succession of injuries meant he scarcely featured for the team and Celtic attempted to clear him off the wage bill

Boerrigter resisted Celtic's attempts to move him on and remained at the club until 2016, banking his weekly wage without kicking a first team ball.

The Dutchman admitted that Celtic wanted to pay him three months' salary to terminate his deal, but the money he earned at the Scottish giants was just too good to walk away from when no agreement could be found.

"They wanted to get rid of me", Boerrigter admitted to exprofs.nl. "But I stayed and, I say this honestly, it was because of the money.

"The salary was too good to give up, and especially if you see what my club history was.

"I played football in the Jupiler League [Dutch second tier], not just for an apple and an egg, but you will not get rich from it.

"We still negotiated, Celtic wanted to give me three months' salary, but I wanted something more and that did not materialise.

"Then I stayed and got all 12 [months]", the Dutchman added.

Boerrigter made a total of 26 appearances for Celtic during his time at the club, scoring a single goal and providing two assists.

He makes a good point to be fair with playing in the lower leagues for a long period the money wouldn’t have been great.

Think we all would have done the same.

Would have annoyed me if he had made big money elsewhere though before coming here.

Got to admire his honesty which apart from his bird is the only thing I admire about him.

As much as fans won’t like it he’s perfectly entitled to claim all the money he’s been promised in a contract.

£12k a week. Shows how much * the papers talk. They'd have him down on 30k a minute. If the money was so good you'd think he'd get off his * and force his way into being a starting 11 and get an extension or 2. Lazy *.
