I've had Newcastle Brown, thought it was quite tasteless in all honesty. As mentioned before, Ireland is the only place for Guinness, it's a completely different drink over there. Better head retention, thicker and creamier. :shamrock:

Some English ales worth a mention are 'England's Own', 'Bombadier Golden Ale' and anything pretty much by 'Pedigree' (not the dog food make for any of you smart arses)!

Probably my favourite beer that. Got it on draft one time in a pub on Queen Street (Max's or something I think). Was 4.90 a pint however was even better than usually just getting it in a bottle.

Also a big fan of Brewdog's Punk IPA and Williams Brothers Joker IPA recently. Magic.

Not big on beers. I do like Innis and Gunn now and again but a pint of it puts me in debt basically.:56:

We talking about proper beers or lagers as well? Seen alot mentioning Tennents. I can stomach it but it's rare for me to find a pub who sell a good pint of it.

    More of a cider man.

Failing that I'm not really a big lager/beer drinker anymore usually pick what they have. I prefer spirits as its less bloaty, usually vodka sometimes (rarely) wine.

Aye, the only problem with pints of Vodka is they tend to be expensive and some pubs prefer to serve spirits in them * wee glasses.

There is lots of good beers out there these days.

Nothing wrong with a pint of most of the common lagers, but some of the real beers are where it's at these days.

We've quite a few bars in Aberdeen like Brewdog, Casc, Six Degrees North that all serve real beer. It's an experience trying all the different flavours.

There isn't that much difference between many lagers.
