    Two men have been shot outside parliament after charging the gates of parliament and attacking officers, it has been reported.

    Witnesses say a car mowed down five pedestrians before crashing into the gates outside Portcullis House.

    The leader of the House of Commons says an alleged assailant was shot by armed police.

    According to the Telegraph, a man is lying shot outside the gates to parliament.

    It has also been reported that a man was seen with a knife.

    There are definitely people seriously hurt, pools of blood etc. Reports of one resuscitatation effort stopped too.

    The security is far too tight around Westminster and Parliament for it to have any chance of success unless attacked by plane like 9/11.

    Madness. My mam lives about 300 yard's away..

    Was in St Thomas's hospital earlier (which is on the start of Westminster Bridge) getting an x ray on my hand for 3 hour's and the news was on...nothing. Left and jumped a bus directly going over Lambeth Bridge parallel to where it happened on Westminster and my missus had left messages frantic as I had no reception in the hospital. Must've been on the bus going over the bridge exactly as it was happening on the other..

    Whole place is boxed off..
