ESPN claiming New England offered their 1st Round draft pick of this year to New Orleans for WR Brandin Cooks.

Trade was rejected.

Unless a late trade arises, Dallas Cowboys are expected to cut ties with Tony Romo tomorrow. Josh McCowan is expected in Dallas for a visit and potential deal to be back-up QB to Dak Prescott.

Expect a scramble for Romo's signature.

Ravens are expected to release Elvis Dummervil. Also Colts TE Dwayne Allen is reported to be a target for New England.

 

Dumervil released, Juice expected to sign with San Fran, Wagner to Detroit.

But, we are expected to sign Tony Jefferson which is huge.

 

Who the * wants a Patriots pick, more or less guaranteed to be at the * end of the draft.

 

Losing Ricky Wagner is a blow but I wouldn't have liked to see us pay the money Detroit have offered him. Don't think he's worth that.

Not sure how I feel about Jefferson. He's had one good season in a top notch secondary. Could be a hit but could just as easily be a swing and miss. Had a feeling we would be looking at him though.

 

Him and Weddle could become the best duo in the league. As you say though hit or miss!

 

Danny Woodhead also apparently signing with the Ravens. Good player, do we need him?

 

Mike Glennon to the Bears. $15mil a year over three years with $19mil GTD.

No wonder everyone wants to be a QB you get the wages, even when you're average/bad.

Looks like Brandin Cooks for Malcolm Butler trade is in the pipeline. I'd be up for that as we are desperate for a CB.

Not for me. Kenneth Dixon is a good receiver out of the backfield, as is Buck Allen. Was hoping we would go after Fournette or Cook in the draft and use Dixon as the change of pace back. Woodhead is old, I'm never keen on signing old players.

 

Dixon is banned for 4 games.

 

Incredibly interesting trade and great work from the Browns. Paying for a second round pick by absorbing Osweilers contract. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to get another pick for him or even released him now.

Not for me mate. Desperate for a CB but we've had other CB'S come in and fail badly with us. I would rather take out chance in the draft or flirt around FA to get one in. Cooks is a difference maker and will only improve.
